TT and Baylor will be interesting for UT.
Both have less talent on the roster but they put enough talent on the field to really pressure defenses and UT has been bad when spread out on defense.

If UT can run the ball and control the clock they'll have a chance to win.
If they fall behind and need Case to play big time football for 3 quarters without mistakes it will be tough to win.

Right now I'd say Baylor is about a 6 point favorite and Tech a slight underdog.

If any Sooner or Longhorn fans are wanting to make a trip to Waco for the games against Baylor, please PM me, I have extra tickets at this time, and will part with them for face value and an introduction to a pretty single female relative;).

Pretty pumped about OU-Baylor tonight. Actually won't mind peeking at the Bengals-Dolphins game, too. Good TV night.

Wait, this is a week from tonight, isn't it? Bummer. :(
Yeah, I think it is against NCAA rules for students to play more than one game in a calendar week, because of the tax on body and academic load, and both teams played Saturday.

I'm afraid my extra tickets to Baylor/ OU and Baylor/ UT are already spoken for, but if any of you are going please PM me and perhaps we can tailgate.

Baylor unveils this new black uni on Thursday night against OU.

Talk about a surprise beatdown OK State gave Tech in Lubbock. Tech just doesn't run the ball enough for me to take them seriously (72 pass attempts by a true freshman QB!). OK State might be getting their running game back

All i can say is conference foes mean all bets are off when predicting winners. Okie State is very much in the thick of things again, the WVU loss is ancient history now.

OK State came in to the season with the most overall talent but couldn't figure out the QB situation.
They'll be a tough out week in and week out.

ROFL. Every Tech post you make is more clueless than the last.

Tech was down 21 in a blink of an eye. The passing every down was forced, not by design.
As was they had 25 rushing attempts.
Not exactly Dallas with 9 attempts today.

The Big 12 gets 4 more years of this QB passing, enjoy.

Even with the deficit in mind, he'd till be throwing around 50 passes...that is too much. When the game was within reach, they couldn't/didn't run the ball at all and the OK State defense knew it. All Webb could do was throw checkdowns and bubble screens that the defense ate up with EASE.

If Kingsbury wants to take Texas Tech further than just being an 8-9 win team every year, they have to commit to the running game or else they'll just get owned by OU/Texas/etc like Leach's teams. Manziel gets all the recognition for that A&M offense in 2012 but their running game with Michael and Malena was a big part of that.

I'm pumped for thursday! Hope I don't come back from the game with my tail between my legs, but instead with an 8-0 team for the first time in school history....well at least since the 19th century ;)

Hoping this magic from OU's last visit to Waco repeats, funny in retrospect to see how these two became good pros on rival teams.

That's certainly fair.
Tech came into the year with a soft OL that has since lost two starters to injury.
They also lost the most highly recruited RB to grades in the off-season.
The team was picked to finish 7th in the conference based on talent.

The highest rated freshman is the QB, Davis.
The best overall player the receiving TE, Amaro.
The 2nd best overall is the slot WR, Grant.

While they are throwing 50+ times is not a mystery at all.

But if you look at the recruiting class incoming they have 3 RB and 5 OL, a large handful of those players are JUCOs expected to start next year.
OL and DB are loaded with JUCOs who need to play right away.

Mayfield started over Webb initially because he has the better wheels.
He could produce rushing yardage.
But in the long run Webb's throwing ability and quick decision-making have won out.
So no read option stuff.
So they are going to throw it a lot.
And in games they win no one will care.

I don't know which I want to see more tonight, Baylor/Oklahoma or Oregon/Stanford. I think Oregon/Stanford could be a better game. I believe Baylor is going to put a licking on OU. Seastrunk is going to be tough to handle.

I know I'll catch heck from you guys....but I'm not sure if there are ANY excellent Big 12 teams.
A bunch of ok, maybe top 15-30 teams , but that is it.
We'll see. It's hard to know when they play each other.
I'd love to see one break out and get into to the top 5 race...just don't see a deserving team.

Maybe if Baylor beats a jog Oklahoma team by 30? But I don't see that happening.

No heck at all... Sadly, none of these teams are that great. That said, maybe the 6-10 ranked teams from other conferences aren't that good either.

But Baylor's defense is impressing tonight even though I don't think OU's O is anything special. And I think Petty was just nervous at first because he missed some throws early he usually makes.

I'll say it again, Briles reminds me a little of Jimmy. He finds fast guys who play extremely pissed off and he has more than a little edge to him himself.

I'm impressed with the D tonight... they are flying all over the place to the ball and making solid tackles...

This isn't your Baylor team from 10 years ago...
