Welp....:(

I'll go ahead and give the most obvious answer since this thread is only 5 pages long and no one has gotten it yet.....

There was no way I would have given Dez Bryant 70 million.

Franchise tag.....and then another tag...then cut bait.

We are just beginning to see what I suspect is gonna be a full blown T.O. type meltdown before all this is over. And yes....there are already signs....Skipping all of training camp.... The dropped passes vs Tampa..completely disappearing vs Carolina.....Monkey pictureso_O......sideline fights...tantrums. And it's just gonna get worse. A lot worse. It's a lot of distractions this team doesn't need.

Giving him the keys to the kingdom was a mistake. Jerry might as well hire 2 full time details to follow him this summer. 1 to clean up the messes he leaves behind...then another to steer him out of trouble. The guy has been practically broke since getting into the league...now he's got some money to throw around. Lord knows what gonna happen this summer.

I'll go ahead and call it what it is...It's the big C. And it's gonna grow.... And unfortunately....I have high doubts he has the maturity to see the situation for what it is.

Hopefully I'm wrong.....

1. Thinking the running back by committee thing would work.
2. Not having a quality backup for Romo.

Failing to replace the entire strength and conditioning staff. We've been struggling badly in thus area for years.

.....that excessive clapping, butt slapping, coaching aptitude, and field trips would motivate this team

Management fooling itself that AP would be available and if not then the RBBC would work.

Doesn't matter.

Jerrah wanted Garrett and everybody knew it.

What I remember most about Parcells was he didn't trust Romo..

which I don't either.

He trusted him but knew he needed a firm hand coaching him,(and a running game) which he did. He's a much different player now but JG just panics and lets him go make plays and then throw Romo under the bus when it doesn't work. That's why you had so many 8-8 seasons.

Bill Cahlenn leaving

So basically they chose Linehan over Callahan. Once that choice was made the previous offseason, Callahan's fate was decided.

I'm going to say the #1 mistake was going with Weeden at backup QB.

A close 2nd would be how they handled the RB position. Letting Murray walk is fine. But clearly they did not trust Randle, yet they were forced to start him at RB for nearly half of the season. McFadden has actually turned out to be a decent signing but the RB position overall has been lacking all season.

Callahan was a disaster as HC, his ceiling is OL. Anywhere but here as a HC.

His ceiling is probably OC. He was also the OC the year prior when the Raiders went to the AFC Championship and he was OL coach with the Jets when Sanchez was regularly in the play-offs.

HC or not, Callahan is instrumental to the success of the teams he was not HC.

backup QB. I think Cassel would be fine if he had an entire off season. Trying to roll with weeden was the biggest mistake.

Not keeping intact the team (players and coaches) that that got us to within one play of the NFC championship.
