People who don't want Bill are the same people who say, when discussing any proven player in FA, "Don't need him, too old, too expensive, etc. Then complain about where we are today.
Bill is 70-93 without Tom Brady. 2 winning seasons, 8 losing seasons. 1-2 in the playoffs. That's why I don't think we need him. Don't care about the age or expense part.

I would love to have Belichick if he had an innovative young OC to revamp the offense. He has a special eye for identifying and developing talent. He's handled a circus before(Aaron Hernandez) but would he want to do it again?

I think Belichick knows that Jerry would lean on him for the decisions that he takes credit for, just like he did with Parcells. Now, Jerry is going to be Jerry, but Belichick would get the same kind of respect and authority that Jerry gave Parcells. Jerry will not give that to a young coach who has no skins on the wall.
Thank you !! Somebody gets it. !!

When he starts looking at tape of Dak vs good defenses he will change his tune. If he keeps Dak around he will build a stout defense and ball control offense around him!

Guaranteed he won’t want Dak and a pass happy offense like McCarthy!!!
Keep fooling yourself if it helps you sleep at night. Bill Belichick has said it many times, he absolutely loves Dak Prescott.

Bill sure acts like he wants the job and he knows the cap well enough to know Dak is the QB the next couple years. He wouldn’t be my first choice but he could bring some much needed discipline to this team. I could think of 4/5 others I’d rather have though Jerry probably wouldn’t consider them. Of the guys Jerry might hire, bill very well could be best options. Jerry isn’t gonna go sign a young guy because they’d want a longer contract and he wouldn’t respect them enough to give them any authority. Bill wont want a longer contract and contract and Jerry does respect him
You sure don’t know that I’m making a guess and that this situation may not occur.

Belichick would have to be really desperate to sell out for the $$$ and come work with Jerry. But I think there's a good chance he is desperate.
IF Belechek accepts a job here, it's going to be on Parcels like terms. No way he would come to Dallas and have Jerry dictate his coaching staff and roster. Bill's incentives to come here are huge. Getting Dallas back on top would be a huge feather in his cap and would end the whole "was he or Brady responsible for the Patriots dynasty". Brady went to Tampa and won a Super Bowl. Bill taking Dallas to one would top it.

belichick is the only one who would could or can coach around jerry.
the owner/gm isn't going any where.
so the hc here has to figure around him.
belichick is the only one who can.
good post and point !
a young coach would be afraid of jerry, intimidated, but not Bill.
Bill would help the defense and game planning, he always takes out a player on the other team.
As for offense, hopefully he would get a good OC.

I vote bill, but no telling what jerry does lol.

Never happen. If Bill decides to coach next year and that's a big if he will certainly take the Jacksonville job over the Cowboys. Any coach including Bill would rather have Trevor over Dak plus Bill would get total control in Jacksonville.
