Bledsoe or McNabb?

Well if he didn't lead the game winning drive against San Fransisco we'd be dealing with something even more embarassing, a loss to San Fransisco, so he still had to do it and he did it, give him credit for it. Its not like we were ouptplayed or anything but we still needed to orchestrate a comeback and Bledsoe did just that.

I know.

But its embarrasing to say that we needed a comeback drive against San Francisco.

I'd rather just forget about that game personally.

Yes, because he didn't do anything in the 6.5 years as a starter in which he didn't have a star WR.

I don't understand what point you are trying to make here. He didn't do anything with no star WR. He now has no star WR...so by your logic he isn't going to do anything. That makes him better?

Yep. Same old story. I love the Cowboys, but the rose colored glasses are too much sometimes.

Bledsoe in his prime and McNabb in his prime are a closer comparison. But at the moment, Bledsoe is far down the rung of top QB's.

McNabb is a QB who can carry a team to a Super Bowl. Bledsoe is an adequate starter for an average NFL team.

When did McNabb "carry" his team to the Super Bowl?

I must have missed that entire season.....

If this is a 1 year (this year) scenario, I'm taking Bledsoe.

I saw Drew play well when the game was on the line last year. I saw McNabb choke time after time. From the Super Bowl, until the Cowboys put him out of his misery.

I prefer the pure passing quarterback to win a championship.

And I think one of McNabb's best attributes was his scrambling ability and I think he's seen his best days as a scrambler at this point.

McNabb has more years left in his career, but if I want to win a championship, I'm taking Bledsoe.

Anyone catch Keyshawn on NFL Total Access last night? Sounded like he was implying Delhomme would not wilt under pressure like he saw in Bledsoe's eye's last year. Maybe I am reading too much into what he said, but it sure did not sound like a ringing endorsement for Drew.

Bledsoe played those teams in the Super Bowl? Your point was McNabb choked in the Super Bowl. Okay, that's fine, Bledsoe has a history of choking in the playoffs.

Depends, your talking about 1 year of for 5, as much as i hate to say it, Mcnabb, is younger so can play for some years, where as bledsoe is good now, but probalby will begin to fall apart after this year, or next

1-2 year: Bledsoe

4+ years : Mcnabb
:hammer:

Key is probaslby still mad at Drew, for those stupid mistakes Drew made, and costing them a chacne at being in the playoffs, (I.E Seattle, WAshington (twice), Gints, Denver,) Many times Drew would throw to someone else (Terry, Copper, Crayton) whiel they were in coverage, but wouldnt throw to key when he was one on one. So i doubt he would have nice words for Drew.

Same thing happened to VT the previous year. Must be something in the routes and schemes. The QB would throw to the DB while Key was wide open.

Bledsoe won both AFC Championships he had to start, so I consider his "history of choking" far less.

McNabb lost three times in a row (and was directly responsible for those losses) in his NFC Championship games. And he let them down in a Super Bowl. Bledsoe didn't play well against the Packers.

If you are using a choke scale, then McNabb is the loser here.

what mistakes did Bledsoe make that cost us either Wash game- the second was a total team failure.

Keyshawn's comments were simply about Delhomme. You are reading into it, I believe. Now, if what you say is true, well I can point to several examples where Johnson's mistakes lead to turnovers when Testeverde was here (the Cincinnati game for example) and I am sure he had his communication breakdowns with Bledsoe last year. I am not absolving Bledsoe of blame, but Johnson wasn't perfect either. Johnson may have drawn single coverage, but he often couldn't separate enough for Bledsoe to see and had to make separation when the ball was in the air.

He only started in 1, in the 2nd one he replaced Brady.

I'm not using the choke scale, someone else threw that out as if Bledsoe is lacking in culpability.

If McSlobb actually had a spine, and was a true leader of a football team (like Crankcase says he is), then I would take McSlobb. But McSlobb is mentally weak and needs the Eagle Org. to babysit his mistakes because he is not much of a field General...

Therefore, I would have to vote for BledStatue...

At least Bledsoe had a reason for a poor game with the Pack- Reggie White and company were in his face all game long.

Good call, but the facts remain. Theoretically, he was the QB of record in the 2002 championship and he won.

And no ability to escape the rush.

That is really my only hassel with the guy. The line has to be perfect vs. other QB's that can throw from the pocket, or escape the rush. He just can't do both.

I really wish people would get off this BS ABOUT THE LINE HAVING TO BE PERFECT. Early last season the line was not perfect and Bledsoe was putting up Pro Bowl numbers.

Ok, I just read some idiot's rankings for the year and he pontificated that Bledsoe isn't as good as McNabb. As Lumbergh would say: "Uh, yeahhhhhh." Which QB do you want playing on your team?

where's my "neither" option? if we're gonna ponder the impossible, let's open it up.

Let me guess!

Bledsoe wins!

And if you posted this on an Eagles site; McNabb would win.

the last poll that was done to show how "homer" the skins were asked if the skins fans felt they'd make it to the superbowl. in the end another poll was put here and we had more *homers* saying we'd make then they did.

at least they went deep into the playoffs last year while we were out with a game to go.

pointless polls - on the next oprah winfrey!!!
