BR: Garrett isn't coaching for his job (speculation)

Not saying Jerry will fire Garrett but what else is he going to say now? He has a big home game on Sunday to sell to the fans. I don't believe anything that comes out of his mouth.

Well there's that lump of coal in my stocking! I can't say I'm surprised!

You guys got another thing coming. You have to be foolish if you believe what Jerry is selling you. You guys eat this stuff up....when will you learn?

Zero % chance that Jerry has already decided his future. Zero. Am I 100% sure Jason will get fired? No. But there's still a chance

to be expected
mediocre organizations do what mediocre organizations do

buckle up for another 8-8 season and familiar excuses

Mediocre organizations (and fans) always believe they are a coach away. Or a free agent away or an Orton away.

JG is not coaching for his job. Nor should he be.

In all honesty, Jason has had 2 seasons in a row where our team has been desimated by injuries. He probably deserves one more season.

It wouldn't bother me either way... fired or kept. I can see reasons for either. But yeah one of the strong reasons for him to be retained would be the injury situation the last two seasons.

That being said I do fully expect Kiffin to retire and Ron M. taking over as defensive coordinator.

A) we have to cut a lot of players this summer to manage the cap. Major roster turnover. B) we will likely fire both Kiffin and Callahan. Major coaching turnover. C) we will not have the money or draft picks to compensate for the major losses we will incur. Major talent drop.

And Garrett is the guy we are going to trust to get us through this mess? We are in this position partly because of him. Clearly the formula with him as coach is not working.

They're not going to have to cut a lot of players to manage the cap. They could but it's not a necessity.

That being said I would have no problems cutting Ware and letting Hatcher walk. Given how bad the defense is with them, it can be just as bad without'em (and a lot less costly).

The only other "talent" that is going to be let go is Austin... And he's been an after-thought on offense for most of the season.

So basically you're prepared to throw your support at whatever Jerry decides to do.

Go Cowboys, Mike.

Exactly. Besides being an average-at-best head coach during the week and on gameday, we need someone who knows what he's doing to help put a new roster together. Looks like we're going to get more of the same mediocrity in that department, too.

jerry will do his best to maintain status quo, keep as many over-rated over-paid players and coaches he can, find a couple of convenient scapegoats and move on to start his selling job with the buzz word being "continuity" and "relevant"

count on it

Ware is a potential HOFer. Hatcher has nearly double digit sacks as a DT. Those are major losses. You can't just easily replace every position on the DL in one off season.

Not to mention, both CBs are suspect, we need another LB and a starting S. Even if we drafted all defense, we couldn't fill holes

Looking at it from the standpoint of making it exciting retaining Garrett is a logical choice. Win or lose this game coming up got flexed to the last game in the season with a national audience.

Why do y'all care? When Jesse Holley said Jerry was essentially the issue, instead of agreeing it was (how ungrateful!). Now it's (I hate Jerry). Some of you are hilarious.

Ahh the injury excuse again smh. How many offensive starters were out again?

I can think of one this Sunday. :D

But you do make a valid point.

I would counter that the defense was so.... bad... this year that for this team to even have a shot at the playoffs in week 17 is a surprise.
