It is not Jerry’s fault for the lack of Garrett’s success. It is Jerry’s fault for the lack of the teams succes. Mostly by keeping Garrett and this staff.
At he made some staff changes, but not the guy at top.
Garrett is a product of Jerry’s dysfunction.

Garrett’s success is directly related to the roster, coaching staff and front office which is Jerry’s responsibility as GM.

Garrett is responsible for Game Day gaffs.

Now stooping so far as to grasp at unproveable hypotheticals about what an actually accomplished coach could or couldn't do with this roster.

Excuse me, but this is exactly what you are doing too. You are hypothesizing that a different coach could have created a different outcome.

Clearly we do not share the same opinion as to the cause of our lack of success in recent history. I contend the blame lies mostly with the front office, you believe the cause is the coaching.

Garrett never had a losing season or record with his starting QB.

I would agree both HC are not as good as we should have. But then we’re not taking into considerations the constraints Jerry placec on us.

In all fairness at least Wade was a proven Coord and had some HC experience coming in.

I dont consider the term "losing season" to hold much weight when the coach was 8-8 for 3 years and 9-7 last year was virtually 8-8 with a win against 3rd stringers.

Wade Phillips and Jason Garret. Those have been our coaches fo the last decade or more. That is all you have to know about how poorly Jones is at picking coaches.

I answered the question presented to me. But I'd don't run to an unproveable hypothetical excuse for proven failure.

Clearly.

And clearly, you'll use any excuse to absolve Jason Garrett of any and all blame for anything that affects the record and performance of this team.

Maybe you're Jerry Jones in disguise?

Because those facts don’t fit your narrative.

The narrative that Garrett is good because he hasnt had a losing season is as week as it gets. If you consider 8-8 something as proof that Garrett has what it takes then that is pretty pathetic.

The fact is that Garrett has had a playoff caliber roster EVERY year he has been a head coach here. Minus the years that Romo was injured. And I would say in most of those years the NFC EAST was there for the taking.

So wait.

Are you saying Garrett got the most possible out of some of his teams? And that no coach could have done a better job?

But we had Bill with no better results. Our problem goes deeper than coaching.

This thread is hilarious. What his record is versus: 1) Teams with a winning record. 2) rookie coaches 3) win or go home games. I think you will find that paints a truer and much uglier picture.

See how pointless that type of logic is? In my posts, I've said over and over again, that I am not a big Garrett fan, and that he has indeed made many mistakes. He was however, presented with a compromised roster.
