I'd give him a B+ grade so far, for his assistant coach hirings, his handling of the roster, the current record and that I don't agree with some of his 4th down decisions.

I'm not quite willing to go that far. We still don't use top-quality free agency. We just made up for it some this year with trades, partly because Jerry wants to prove he's right about trading Parsons.

Asking for Kenny Clark as part of the Parsons trade was a good move, though, as was trading for Quinnen Williams. We've spent a lot of resources again and again building and rebuilding the offensive line, but our attempts to build a defensive line have failed, partly because we wouldn't go after veterans when they were available. This was the only way to fix that problem IMO if we aren't going to use FA well.

We still don't build correctly since we don't touch one area of roster building (top-quality FA), but we may have made up for it for once. We'll see, though, if Jerry keeps the team together and builds on what they've done, rather than letting players walk and replacing them with cheap alternatives.

first of all, he didn't dog walk Andy Reid, that would be Spagnola, he coached against the defense for the most part, that's his main job, I know he's a head coach as well, but Amy Reid and Patrick Mahomes put up four touchdown they lost by three points on the road..

I wouldn't call that dog walked, it was a great game actually, but yeah, it's nice to come out on the other end of two games in a row against what people would allege to be better coaching staffs,

so yes, it's a nice little run we're on...

No t just the last 3 games though, he should get credit for the whole year,

the way he's handled the thing with Marshawn Kneeland, the way he's handled all the injuries ,all the chatter ,all the noise, he's done a really good job keeping this team together, and I like his offense, I like his schemes, I like his hires with Riley and Klayton Adams, he's done a really good job..

I mean the Cowboys aren't where fans would love them to be, but a first-year head coach he's doing really good Especially pulling double duty as the play caller...

Reid was out coached, period, end of story. You want to deny it and stick up for your KC HC great, but don't come in here and discount that mudhole we stomped in your team.

Has he been perfect? No, but every coach makes a few errors. However, by and large, he's made a lot more great coaching decisions than mistakes. He's good with clock management so far. In a league where you can regularly call out mind numbingly stupid clock management decisions, Brian Schottenheimer (a rookie HC) hasn't made those. Sure, he's gotten a bit overly aggressive times, but a lot of coaches are aggressive now.

Furthermore, not only has he beaten both Super Bowl Teams in the span of 4 days. Not only has he also beaten the Commanders and was a dropped ball away from sweeping Philly. He's outright OUTCOACHED Andy Reid, Sirianni, and Quinn. Remember when we would be upset because we were regularly outcoached under Jason Garrett? I think it'd safe to say we are not being outcoached. He's putting the team in great positions to win (excluding maybe the Cardinals game, which he has really improved from). He's trusting his QB. He's calling mostly great plays. He's managing his time-outs brilliantly.

It's nice to finally be able to say that we have an elite Head Coach in 2025. Who'd have thought that we might actually have the best HC in the division at the start of the season? Even if we don't make the playoffs this year, I currently have full confidence in Schottenheimer in 2026.

Dude while I appreciate your passion (we all used to be like that) you are in for a rude awakening. Nothing has changed. Parcells was a HOF coach and even he could not overcome Jerry. It’s not coaching its culture and that comes from the top.

I'm aware of the Jerry factor, however, Schotty has been excellent so far imo.

Definitely, and we've been getting close. If we can't go all the way this year, I think pass rush and linebacker needs to be a priority in the offseason. The takeaways will come if we can do that.

I'm not ready to call him an elite coach, but I will say this: The team plays hard for him, and doesn't give up when the game gets tough. On top of that, he has this team believing that they can win against any opponent. That's something I haven't seen from this team in quite a while.
