Dunbar never really did anything until they started using him in the 1st two games of the season. He was effective but got hurt. My opinion is that he'll get hurt again. Besides he's too frail to run between the tackles.

Both Zeke and Morris can catch the ball out from the backfield. So Dunbar really doesn't offer anything else that the other RBs can do.

LOL is this real life?

This isn't really news. It'd be a bigger deal if he made the roster. Darius was always a longshot.

This. He has shown nothing in the time given to him. He has not stood out.

Keeping a guy like Dumbear may not be prudent due to his injury-proneness but he would add another element to the offense that would only benefit Dak.

Again, we get it, you want Jackson on the team at any cost.

I'd rather him that continuing to rely n the unreliable - as in Dunbar and McFadden.

If you're intent on keeping running backs made of glass like them, you have to keep four.

Talking about last year with McFadden, he wasn't injured. He produced. But I get it, you want Jackson on the team at any cost.

And last year is the only year you want to talk about? Can't talk about all of the prior years, or this one either?

Shown too much to cut him, Dunbar is a decent player, but a soft, gooey marshmellow at this stage.

Too many people seem to think they see something the coaches don't see, when the reverse is actually the case.

Far more people want to simply assume that the coaches know all and never miss, when the reverse is actually the case.

After all, these are the people who brought you the Joseph Randle era and the C-Mike experiment.

But yeah, they got this!

With a healthy Tony at QB, I would absolutely agree with you. With Dak at QB, however, personnel needs have changed. Dallas needs to give Dak every option available on offense, injury-prone or not.

For what? A week? What happens in week two, when Jackson has been claimed somewhere else and Dunbar is gone for the season - again?

Dunbar isn't the only running back that can catch the ball anyway. But he's certainly no answer if one of the real running backs goes down. No answer at all.

This team is too loyal to guys at times. Maybe they over value continuity or maybe I'm just giving them too much credit. RB is a young man's position. Dunbar has proven to not be worth it. Yes he's explosive and a very good receiver but he's no good when he's injured. McFadden was ok last year but he's really not worth hanging onto either. Let's move on from these guys, please.

Gus Johnson, yes that guy, got snapped up in the first round of cuts.

Try and sneak him, just don't cry when it doesn't work.

Gus was just released by the Falcons, maybe we should sign him, and have both him and Jackson.

Familiarity and 'being comfortable' is very high on the list of requirements for this organization. Once you're 'in the club', it's hard for them to let go.

This would be a huge mistake. Jackson is cheaper and better than Dunbar, imo.

Jackson is a better runner but we have runners. Dunbar is fantastic in the passing game and is a special teams demon. I'd actually like to see both on the 53.

You know for certain he (Dunbar) will be gone in a week, Stash?!!! If so, can you please tell me who will win the Big 12? I have money to blow. ;)
