Bryan broaddus on the postgame show made an excellent point. He said if you can blame the head coach for every loss but after every win it’s because of the players then you clearly are speaking from blind hatred of the head coach. By no means am I a fan of Garrett but some of y’all are looking like clowns with your takes on him
If you cheat on your chick dozens of times yet she gives you another chance does that mean she should also give you credit after one week of remaining faithful or should you have to prove yourself for a longer period of time before credit is given?

I heard this argument before and to me it makes no sense. Zeke and the oline, Dak, the wrs, in other words players get credit for a win. For instance, if Zeke has 250 yards and 4 tds in a win then he had a great game and those stats contributed greatly to the outcome. Rarely does a coach does something in a game that you'd say "he did a great job coaching today" even Bill B.

A coach gets credit for great seasons not great games. The coach sets the tone at camp and the culture that carries throughout the season he'll win some and lose some and at the end you are what your record says you are.

Nobody has said he gets credit for being an outstanding coach based on this one game. They are only talking about credit for doing a good job with this one game.

I'm more angry with him after this win because all I see is lost potential this year.

I'm disappointed that this team waited 14 games in to play a complete game. If this team was more disciplined, more mentally tough, more accountable, and better coached, this win would have been the division clincher. This team should be playing for a 3 seed in the postseason.

The Cowboys went back to a run first offense like they should have weeks ago.

Hard to give Garrett much credit for finally seeing what most in here did back in November.

And I'm telling you we don't want to hear about one game. We're way past that phase. The cheating has been rampant for years so you're going to sleep on the couch until at least a month of good behavior. Until then don't fix your mouth about credit.

Yup. Someone started a thread about this exact thing. The running game has saved JG before.

Why hate? Why can’t some people just accept he isn’t the right man for the job instead of creating a personal grudge in their mind? Garrett isn’t intentionally trying to lose games or acting out of spite or malice. The decision to let him go should have nothing to do with emotion or some imagined personal affront. It should be a calm, level headed, unemotional and we’ll considered decision based on what will help the team get better.

Our emotions won’t be a part of the decision. Let is have this

Awesome point, it is his ACTUAL JOB to get the team ready to play every week. He doesn't call offense or defense, I guess he isn't responsible for the W- L record at all?

Broaddus has an agenda. Not gonna get true analysis from him. He is on the team app for Gods sakes.

OMG I NEVER SAID IT DID!! my entire point is you cannot blame him for every loss and then turn around and pretend he had 0 to do with blowing out a team we were universally picked to lose against

Who is doing this?

By the same token, you can't absolve him of blame for the losses and celebrate 1 win in 4 weeks and expect everyone to agree.

The win today was fantastic, if they would have played like this the past month, the Eagles would already be eliminated. Why didn't they? Did they finally listen to the coaches this week? Players are so dumb.

The coaching criticism has been around his in-game coaching decisions and situational awareness. So go ahead @Jstopper the floor is yours, tell me what coaching decision he made during this game that resulted in the victory.

I’ll wait.

While you’re thinking, he got caught with his pants down again on a fake punt - a play by the way that everyone in the stadium except him knew was coming.

We blame Garrett for the losses because he has made in-game decisions that have cost the team at least two losses this year (maybe three).

thats all Broaddus and the OP were saying as well. Neither suggested this win wiped the slate clean.

This whole thread is stupid then. Preach it Broaddus. Tell us how we, as fans, should feel. It has been too long since the cowboys have been a force in the league in anything but ratings.

Get us a real GM, AND A Real coach.

Garrett deserves credit for today. I mean the clapping and spitting were on point
and in proper sequence all game long... lol

I'm in agreement with those that mentioned this win is a reminder of what should have been.
Having a top ten offense and defense should produce more than a 7-7 record. Personally,
I think they should be no worse than 10-4. Yet, here we are.

Nonetheless, a win next week in Philly, where Garrett is 7-2, will put Dallas in the "tournament"
as The Big Tuna would say. The Eagles barely got by the 3-11 Commanders. Dallas is 4-0 in the
division. For those who bet their mortgage against the Cowboys this week, try going double
or nothing by betting on Dallas next week in Philthy.

A broken clock is right twice a day also.

Make no mistake about it Garrett is broken as well. We are winning nothing that matters with him at the helm.
