Broaddus take on Garrett being fired after this season

There will be no playoffs for this team. We will always have that 2009 playoff win versus The Eagles. The core is past their prime. Sorry for those in denial...

are you saying this because one of SUPPSED core players....is getting blocked one on one? We have a lot of bums on this defense...but if DeMarcus Ware cannot make ONE....ONE play...how can we get mad at the kids in the secondary?

spot on...Where is Ware??? been missing for quite some time.

I think JG stays no matter what. He's building a team for the long term. If you bring in a new HC at this time, it's like throwing in the towel, starting over.
At first, I thought he had a 3 year plan, but injuries had derailed that a bit. But long term he has a 5 year plan. The talent level is much better and drafts have been much better. Salary cap & JJ stretched that out to 5 years.
Even though I think the talent level isn't what we keep hearing about. But that's why we post, and not coach or play. But it is better but need better players, depth. As I said, I think he gets one more year to show that.

And if he keeps failing I'm sure he will have a 10 year plan if it keeps his job.

The changes need to be made on defense. Ware this is your time and Hatcher, make your case for the next contract.

That was a unique circumstance. That team totally folded mid season.

Even then most of his answers were dodges. He kept saying he would wait until the end of the year to make coaching decisions. It was not an affirmative "there is no way we will fire Wade". The total lack of effort displayed in the GB game forced his hand and he had to act earlier then he otherwise would.

What do you think right about now?

I think Jerry already regrets hiring Kiffin, despite all the injuries to the front 7 beyond his control.

Philly wins the NFC East, and Garrett is definitely fired...
1. He will have failed when the division was up for grabs three years in a row.
2. The offense, his area of expertise, has been inconsistent in an ugly way.
3. It's the easiest way to say goodbye to Kiffin and save face.

I would hire Lovie Smith...
1. He's a proven coach.
2. He brings toughness.
3. You are sure to keep Marinelli.
4. You can keep your special teams coach and get a dynamic OC because Smith is defense-minded.

kiffen sucks, but so does garrett. I'm tired of all the excuses Garrett gets. This is the third year in the row we will potentially miss the playoffs.

I agree. Jerry has wasted the prime of Romo, Witten, Ware, etc.... on crappy coaches like Wade and Garrett. Oh what could have been if we had a REAL head coach since Tuna left.

fire him before they get to dallas, they had 11 days to prepare and this is what we get.
