I must of missed those reports. I recall both battling but I don't recall it was one sided in favor of Ware.

When I go and re-watch DLaw's combine and highlights videos, it is scary how good the kid is with his hands and how fluid an athlete he is. He is a big guy that has the natural athleticism of a little guy. Watch how he gets around the corner, how quick he gets off the ground during the combine drills, etc....The kid is very fluid, plays with a very high motor, and still manages to play with a lot of pop.

The guy may turn out okay, but you sure as hell can't tell it from watching him run around in his underwear.

Your comments are foolish if you think DL and OL don't compete hard in the so called non-contact drills and your comments are really ignorant if you think there aren't any contact in the non-contact drills. Non-contact is basically everything except tackling for the DL.

No, it is not. First, there is now rules against hard contact in these drills and second, the Lee injury has caused the team to be more careful . I don't know if you are trying to pump up DLaw or if you are really that ignorant to the nature of contact in OTAs.

I've said it hundreds of times, but you absolutely cannot tell one iota of how well a defensive or offensive lineman looks in the practices. Even in training camp, half of the guys are NOT going 100%. But you'll have young, over-eager defensive linemen out there who are giving it everything they've got against veteran offensive linemen who are most often simply going through the motions.

ZERO stock should be given as to any report about how linemen are performing, either in OTAs or training camp.

I don't disagree with you about OTA's, but training camp is a different story.

I guess I should clarify that I've never seen a training camp where you could effectively judge line talent. I've been to 3-4 of them. There are not any sustained periods where the players are going 100%.

Brace yourself. Your post is as accurate as can be, but it won't matter. He is pumped up from his work out and there us a shortage of blood making it to his head.

In the midst of all of the negativity regarding our DL, how come no one is mentioning how good DLaw is looking? Some will say that it is the underwear Olympics but in pass rush situations you can still get a good look at who is doing well and who is stinking it up. Plus without pads, DLaw really cannot bullrush so all of his moves have to be speed related type moves. So he is not only doing more than holding his own against Tyron but he is doing so with a 1/4 less of his pass rushing repertoire.

A DL of Selvie, Hanks, McClain, and DLaw with a steady rotation of capable big and hungry young players playing 15 to 20 snaps with their hair on fire is going to shock the hell out of people. If DLaw can be the table setter that I think he will be, look out because we are going to beat the hell out of teams.

In the underwear Olympics!

Just an observation but you are a consistently downer of a poster. Life's a beach. Play in the sand some.

Life is great, my friend. I'm just not going to get too excited about a guy doing well in non-contact practices. I have nothing but high hopes for Lawrence.

If he was in OTAs getting destroyed would people be like.... So what no pads.

The obvious answer is no.

But keep pretending to be cool and say none of this matters.

Actually why do teams even have OTAs? After all I heard on the zone that it doesn't matter.
