Broaddus's take on issues with Dez

No, not really doubled. Zone coverage is not the same a double covered.
Semantics. True man-to-man double coverage is rare unless you're dealing with Randy Moss but he's being bracketed at least 90% of the time he's running routes.

. The difference between Dez now in 2014 is he can't jump 3 feet in the air for Romo's lob balls. He knows if he jumps up in the air chances are he's going to get hurt I set it at the time I'll say it now you can't do that for a whole career.
I don't care what excuses you've got for his production this year he is not worth half the contract he has.

It's ridiculously rare to see two DB's double a receiver in man coverage.

It's almost always one guy in man and the other in zone.

My point is that fans see zone coverage and think it means double coverage.

True double coverage would have the CB in man with help from the Safety.

Defenses have played true double coverage on Beasley. The network even showed a replay at one point to show it in detail.

In Zone coverage ALL receivers are covered by more than 1 defender.

Show us the double coverages on Beasley at any point over the last 3 weeks? All we ever see is Dez being doubled with Beasley running against single coverage on the opposite site of the field yet you continue to insist he's being doubled.

That's true but with the safety over coverage it allows the cb to be aggressive on out, ins and slants. Also double moves don't work, Dez saw man over coverage for 95% of the game.

Are you watching the coaches film?

Don't pretend he's doing this like he did in 2014 please

congratulations on the photo though

I'm sure it would be real difficult to find him him being Out jumped by defensive backs shorter than he is.

This is accurate. Dez is just not that special anymore and quite honestly, we overpaid for him. I don't even think he still has the hunger he once did either.

You said he couldnt jump dont throw stipulations on it now.

SHOW ME. Every single week we get clips from the beat writers on twitter showing Dez being doubled covered with Beasley running the only route in his route tree in single coverage. You say otherwise, cool, show me.

You're right and hunger is the second part of it he used to just not let a Defender get between him and the football that's not the case anymore

Dez can't get open because he doesn't run precise routes as he is prescribed to do in the playbook that everyone else is going by. You can tell Dak tries to compensate for Dez's lazy route running but that's not always possible. And Dak wrongly gets the blame sometimes when he throws the ball where Dak suppose to be rather than where he is.

After reading the first sentemce, that could apply to alot of players........but instead of using that as an excuse to fail, "elite" players rise up from the ashes.....Dez misses balls that hit him in the hands, chest, face......that's on him, not the QB.
I agree. I think it is very telling that Dez is so QB dependent. All WR's are inherently QB dependent, but the great ones do seem to still make plays.

Most of what I notice is the bracket coverage on Beasley. Teams do not seem to be afraid of him running by you so they take the in and out away from him. Up to this point in the season it has been very successful.
