Nick Fairley, DT/DE, Auburn
Stephen Paea, DT, Oregon State
Robert Quinn, DE, North Carolina

Wisconsin Badgers DE JJ WATT will forgo hes J year and enter the 2011 NFL Draft projecting at 27th

Hope that some would be a be a good fit for the 3-4..

Anyone else got a bad feeling Leonard Davis will be here next season?

You take that back right now Mister!

He thinks D Line is where we'll be looking @ pick 9..

Thinks it wouldn't be outrageous for Peterson to go #1.

He's heard from scouts Peterson is a rare returner.

If Peterson isn't there as of now i'd really like to trade down and use our trade down compensation as ammo to move back in the 1st with our 2nd rounder and have 2 first round picks.

Maybe grab a Von Miller and Gabe Carimi.

Appreciate Broaddus' opinions, but thats all it is, an opinion.

The draft is 3 and 1/2 months away. Even the Cowboys have no idea what they'll do.

If he can play a decent level, have no problem with it. I would think he'll have to compete for his job, at the least.

They cant reasonably replace everyone, I'd rather them resign Kosier and dump Davis, but maybe they cant do it for cap reasons. Who knows.

Colombo is the ONE guy they gotta replace though. He's the biggest issue with the offense.

If a CB is taken #1 and a 3-4 DE is taken in the top 10 in the draft I will eat my hat.

Well, get ready to eat because both Bowers and Fairley are going top 10 and at least one of them, if not both ( depending on what Carolina does with the #1 ) will end up in a 3-4. If Denver selects Peterson over Fairley, he won't get past Buffalo and both are 3-4.

Yup. And Roy too.

Roy isnt coming back. He'll be one of the first people Garrett gets rid of, unless they hold onto him till draft time and try to trade him for something.

Peterson is not going #1. My hat is safe.

With players like Daquan Bowers, Marcel Dareus, Cam Jordan, Cam Hayword, at least one of those will go top 10. Doubt Peterson will go #1 though.

that is the predicament the chiefs found themselves in two years ago in the draft. They ended up taking a 34 run stopper at number 3 in the draft cause they had to!

People would lose their minds if jerry did that and that was scott pioli that did that.

I dont love the idea, but at 9 if they think a 3-4 DE is the BPA and they obviously have a need there, its fine to take the guy.

But what the Chiefs did was painfully stupid. The guy they picked wasnt even a concensus 1st rd talent, let alone the 3rd best player in the draft.

Tell me which DE in this draft that will be available at #9 is worth a 20+ million dollars signing bonus.

Tell me what player at any position taken at the 9th pick in the draft is going to be worth a 20+ million signing bonus.

Is Darcel as good as Suh? No.

And Prince isn't as good as Darelle Revis. And Carimi is no Joe Thomas. And we don't need another WR, so that eliminates Green.

Hell, let's just forfeit the pick.

Man I hope your right.

I hope he sends choice elsewhere also....

I found where he had a knee injury so bad that he had to sit out two years out of the game, and I found where he had to have knee surgery in mid season just this year to clean up knee problems.

I'm not going to put 2 + 2 together for you, math class is down the hall.

Who are we talking about?

It was pretty rough. Ironically I think the carl peterson/herm edwards chiefs did the same thing just two years before didnt they? I forget the player wasnt it a DT who didnt work out also.

In that same time frame of the Olinemen we have drafted... One is a starter and we have one other on the current roster. The rest are either gone or on the practice squad.

The argument for the Oline is just as strong as the Dline argument. I would say with Columbo and Big playing the way they have it might be stronger and then you add in Kosier in his last contract year and Free in his current contract status.

It just seems strange to me that you think Defensive Lineman isn't a premium enough position to warrant a Top 10 pick, but right tackle or offensive guard is. Frankly, I don't think that's an opinion a lot of football front office people would share.

And there's certainly going to be a lot better defensive linemen to choose from with the #9 pick in this draft class than there are going to be offensive tackles. At the very least any defensive lineman we pick will be considered good value for the pick. Any offensive tackle we pick will be considered a borderline reach.

a) Defensive line is considered one of the premium positions in th NFL

b) Defense line is going to be probably the best value of this class at the #9 pick

c) Defensive line is going to be a gigantic hole to fill in our roster come April

This seems like a pretty common sense thing.

I wont be surprised if he's gone too.

I think he sticks around, just because I don't think they'll get that much for him.
