Again, dude, too many facts. Where does a journalist find his two inches of stupid, ratings-grabbing ramblings against "Cowboys' Williams" with photos like that?

In the writer's defense, he reported the Broncos were upset. He did not lend his opinion.

Adam, you already have statistical arguments that could put a Johnny Cochran defense team to shame. Now that you're armed with pictures, remind me never to debate you on anything.

But he did report that Smith was "on the turf," which is not true.

Admit it, if this had been Lynch on Keyshawn you would all be up in arms, calling for Lynch's head, it's the nature of fandom.

Personal opinion, this was an exhbition game, not a regular season rivalry game, not a playoff game, and definitely not the Superbowl, so the hit may have been a little over the top. jmo

Nope, it's stated as if it were fact, no "Broncos fans believed that", not even an "apparently" :

The Denver Post reports some people inside the Broncos organization and close to WR Rod Smith aren't thrilled with Cowboys SS Roy Williams. In the final seconds of the Pro Bowl last Sunday, Williams came in late after a play and hammered Smith, who was on the turf after failing to catch a pass. The ball was out of the play and Smith was not in a position to protect himself. Yet, Williams slammed into Smith's back.

Roy plays the game and he plays it aggressive it does not matter what the situation is once the pads come on it is football time. As for Lynch I have respect for him as a big hitter as well and had he done the same to Key well that is football.

I find it funny that a team known for dirty line blocking schemes has the nerve to call out another team's player.

If Lynch had begun to try hitting Keyshawn when Keyshawn was reaching for and then diving for the football, and if he had hit Keyshawn before Keyshawn hit the ground, there'd be no reason to "call for Lynch's head." The hit was neither late nor illegal (Roy never made contact with Smiths' helmet).

Don't be silly.

Keyshawn would not be in the Pro Bowl.

I guess they better tell Smith not to go to the probowl anymore because Roy is going to be a fixture there for years, and we wouldn't want Rod to break a nail.

Maybe we should model our players after truely comapssionate players like Bill Romanowski, and their entire Oline who love to go after opponent's knees. Lord knows Steve Atwater never took a cheap shot....

Roy hit Smith while Smith was still in the air --

What? He has a knee and a forearm on the turf. That is known as down. And when Roy intiated his hit, he did so with the intention of more or less spearing him. Or hitting him while he was down on the turf. The picture clearly shows him going for the turf slam. Now a hit of this nature would be expected in a regular season game. In the final seconds of a Pro Bowl game, one would expect a touch -- had Smith even caught the ball -- to down him would be suffucient.

You know, criticizing a Cowboy does not automatically bar you from being a fan. I don't think some of you homers really understand that.
