The only OL's after Frederick where the grade matched up with availability were Khalid Holmes in the 4th, Ricky Wagner in the 5th or Reid Fragel in the 6th. But they would have sacrificed a higher rated player on their board to select one of these OL's.

Pretty clear, that they did what they had to do to get a top OL. I'm sure they were praying Warmack or Cooper would be there, but they weren't, and the team was wise to at least get someone who could play up front.
ThreeandOut;5092109 said:Cooper or Warmack would have been ideal but that dream died by pick 10. So they almost had to take Frederick, even at the cost of getting the 5th rated player on their board (Floyd).

If their board is correct, they hit some home runs on Williams, Randle, and Wilcox.
And it also shows that they were committed to an offensive lineman in the first round no matter what. When the run on lineman went, they took Frederick and passed on Floyd.
I feel better about the draft than before, and I was already pretty good with it.
