8-9.

We beat a team with a LOSING record. And bragging about it/

It's BULL sh...mkay?

Then when we faced a REAL playoff team we sht her bed/

So hard on Romo but give this so much credit? ***F.
2 years in a row we crapped the bed. I can’t remember Romo going 2 years in a row though

But if it makes you feel better crapping on playoff wins so be it

Oops I take that back 07 and 08.

Do you still have a Romo jersey

He tries as hard as he can without actually saying it, but he clearly thinks plenty of Cowboy fans are as clueless as ever. My favorite line of the article right here. Almost word for word what some of us joke around about:

I get it. A quarterback is absolute trash unless he wins a Super Bowl. The success of a team is only determined by his play. All you have to do is go out and draft the next Patrick Mahomes.

My favorite statement by some of those same low IQ Dak haters is "a good quarterback is supposed to elevate the talent around him" (when talking about Dak)

But when you mention a few other quarterbacks in the NFL who didn't do squat in their first 6th, 7th, and 8th year, these same delusional haters say, " well (fill in the blank) didn’t have talent around them" or "(fill in the blank) played under bad coaching and a bad GM".... as if Dak played under Belichick, Kyle Shanahan, or Andy Reid and also a great front office.

So Dak is expected to elevate the talent around him, but other quarterbacks and many quarterbacks drafted higher than him are given built in excuses for their 7, 8 year failures or lack of Superbowl success.

The low IQ hating hypocrites with the cowardly demeanor are truly entertaining.

The Dak fanboobs are even dumber. If that is possible.

While not disagreeing, the real screw up was spending 4th orverall draft stock on a RB, and I don't care if it was a weak QB class, draft stock is still draft stock and trade that pick for next years picks if the right evaluation would have been there.... woulda coulda shoulda, but that was the opportunity and the origin of what has set this franchise back.
Well that and Garret tenure....
When it’s rare that you have a top 5 pick you definitely want to be smart when you do.

You’re using their record as the only talking point ignoring the other facts in the Cowboys winning their 1st road playoff game since 1992. And their 1st win against the GOAT.

Against a team we lost in the opener against the SB champion two years removed . Yes, they had a losing record but we were mildly favored . And then lost on the road against a team we were underdogs and weren’t expected to win.

It’s not making excuses . Dak crapped the bed in SF. Crucial turnovers were killers . And the 49ers defense dominated. Our defense which had slid in second half of season didn’t perform at its highest level either. IMO the best team won.

I think Dallas has some doubt about Dak.

Dak was the reason we lost both playoff games vs the Niners.

He was terrible in both games.
I think the reality is Dak can be a good QB and right now there is no alternative. I have to believe a big part of McCarthy's move to take over of the offense was to reign Dak in and get him to play within a system rather than allowing him to continue trying to carry the offense with his arm.

I could never understand why the Cowboys would permit Dak to veer away from the analytics of their win rate in relation to pass attempts and run attempts. Even without Pollard vs. the 49ers, the Cowboys had a better chance handing the ball to Davis than to expect Dak to throw them to victory.

Moving on from Moore was the first step toward reclamation of Dak. The Cowboy have to get back to developing QBs. Cooper Rush is nothing more than a smart back up who can hold the fort for a few games. As we saw in Philly, his lack of physical skills create an immovable ceiling that he plays very close to.

The Cowboys organization is frozen due to fear of failure. How else do explain 10 years of Garrett or your current qb situation.

In the owners mind if I don’t make any decisions/ changes I can’t be wrong.

Look at the recent successful teams, most have changed qbs and/or coaches several times over the last decade plus and been active in free agency.

Not all of the changes were initially successful, so guess what, they made changes again.

The Cowboys have had a comfort level that they are unwilling to risk, hence change is very slow for the franchise.

There was a thread earlier about the Cowboys leading in numbers of games played by their draft picks, if this good drafting or do we just like our guys ?

They live in fear that they may make a decision to replace a player and they may actually make the wrong decision. So what, it happens to every team, you just move ahead and try to correct your mistake.

The decisions you don’t make can be more costly than the wrong ones you do make.

I have no issue moving on from Dak. What I don’t like about our fan base is, that people want to get rid of him with no equal or better option. And what I don’t like from the front office is they don’t put pressure on Dak by drafting a QB 3rd round or higher. I’d love to draft a QB in the second round. If Dak can’t handle the pressure of having a QB the team invested highly in, then how will he handle the pressure that comes with performing deep in the playoffs? Dak knows these 5th rounders won’t get any legitimate run. But a second rounder? Most definitely. It means the organization has a back up plan that may not involve him if he continues to underperform.
Can you imagine the Dak gymnastics if Anthony Richardson or Will Levis Dropped to 26.

TB was not a good team; anyone boasting about beating them is an idiot. Brady clearly is not what he was; still dangerous but as Marino and Jim Kelly and others have proven, it is NOT all about the QB. Now in a close game a better QB can make the difference, but when your team has lost 9 games that season it is NOT a good team no matter who the QB is.

TB was not a good team. They won a crap division only because CAR and NO didn't have QBs.

I’m not boasting about beating a 8-9 team. But I do believe winning our first road playoff game in 30 years is notable, regardless who the opponent was. Not to mention finally beating Brady.

We take our victory laps where we can with this dysfunctional organization. Lol

I’d agree with much of this . And I’d leave open the possibility releasing Moore was a safety net , life line or last call for MM.

I’m just not sure if it was all Moores doing. Or did Jethro dictate wanting to make Dak a more prolific passer to justify his contract ?

We shall see what MM does .

And I’m anxious to see what Moore does with Herbert in LA. What a great opportunity!!

It really isn't. It just isn't. 18 PPG and the 32nd ranked rushing attack. Their O was terrible.
