BTB: Prediction: It won’t take long for Randy Gregory to win Cowboys starting right DE spot

Jane Slater just said on NFLN inside TC, that Gregory is about 250.
She also said, "that maniac poster on CZ, his username is Trouty, is the man of my dreams and I want to marry him"

Back to reality, appreciate the update, Jazzy. He looked thick in Speedkillz vid, wearing at least an XXL sweater

How does anyone even know what he looks like or what weight he is?

Anyways, Taco will have something to say about that. A win for Randy this year is 3-400 snaps and being productive.

There’s not such thing as a “full-time starter” on the Cowboys d-line. Everyone rotates.
If our talent flourishes, there's no other way. Pederson created a very effective model, as much as I hate to admit it, slime Eagles coach that he is. Belichick was doing it before him, but he beat the GOAT at his own game. Copy cat league, and we have the arsenal for it.

Still, if Gregory flashes elite the way Irving/Tank did, you cannot pull him out. Tank/RG/Irivng for 65 snaps a game!

Marinelli has been using deep d-line rotations for a decade or more. He didn’t get it from Pederson. He now might have most talented group with which to do it.

I mean picking the winning formula, rotating in effective players that get it done.

Rod, I am one of the few on the island of supporters, used more of a middle rush attack from the 1 and 3 T when he won. Belichick and Doug used edge to achieve dominance (tho, tbf, BB had Wilfork, but he was more a plug-gap kill the rush, whereas Booger could do it all)

May he get into game-shape, learn from Marinelli, avoid injury and show his talent out.
He has the potential to hopefully make us all forget his issues to begin his career. It's up to him.

I, for one, am rooting like crazy for this feel-good story to come to fruition.

I saw it myself... I was like- of course he is! Who wouldn't?

This article sums up many of the reasons why I'm excited to see Randy Gregory back in the fold. It details many of the special qualities and attributes that he brings that other players simply can't. And it a big reason why this team took the risk of drafting him in the first place. A risk we can all hope finally pays off:

In the blink of an eye, the Cowboys just may have one of the fiercest edge rush presences in the NFL in 2018. At the very least, this is one of the best ensembles of raw pass rushing talents that the Cowboys have had in years. The highlight of the 2017 season was the emergence of DeMarcus Lawrence, who was finally healthy. Lawrence became the first Cowboys defensive lineman since Jason Hatcher in 2011 to record double-digit sacks with 14.5.

Behind Lawrence, the Cowboys have Tyrone Crawford, last-year’s first-rounder Taco Charlton, Kony Ealy, Charles Tapper, and this year’s fourth-rounder Dorance Armstrong. Yet, it wasn’t until a few days ago that we found out former 2015 second-round pick Randy Gregory would be rejoining the team after being reinstated by the commissioner. Though Gregory has been on an 18-month layoff, his return can not be overstated. This is huge news for the Dallas Cowboys.

Pretty sad of you think about it. A guy out of football for almost two years that has failed 7 drug tests he thinks can come right in win the job? And thats with a first round pick in his 2nd year competing with him? Doesnt say much for Taco or anyone else at the DE position.

Or it says a hell of a lot about Gregory...
I guess we'll see, won't we?
Or we can just continue to make grumpy assumptions... that's fun too.
