If you want to make the biggest splash generating enthusiasm, excitement and a renewed hope for this generation and the next providing McCarthy true Elite talent to develop , Burrows is it.

He could struggle and possibly even be a bust in Cincinnati but in this offense and strong supporting cast it could be the impact we’ve seen with Mahomes.

Even this old burned out Cowboy fan would buy a jersey and a ticket to go see. It would turn Dallas on its ear. And hit a home run for Jerry as well. I’d toast to the old SOB for the greatest move since the early 90’s trade with Herschel.

Id truly have hope again!!

th

Burrows to Whitten would be a lethal combination. :muttley:

Joe Burrow had a great season - one. Be wary.

Highly touted college quarterbacks drafted in the top 10 of the first round have also busted or became perennial backups in the NFL. The probability of success would be as good as climbing Mount Everest and finding a Yeti getting it on with a mountain goat.

The rate of failure can be correlated with going to more crap teams as top picks.

Aikman struggled until we surrounded him. We have an outstanding supporting cast in place .

Worth mentioning: under Dak, Dallas gets good QB play and a winning record almost every season. So "turning around" from that means getting bad QB play and being a losing team most seasons.

Hardly sounds worth giving up so many 1st round picks that Burrow would be negotiating or signing his extension by the time the team spends another 1st round pick on improving his supporting cast.

Turning it around means going to championships.

This is as good a supporting cast on offense as he could hope for.

Makes no sense to trade for Zeke when you can draft a running back and have him cheap like they have Mixon. A smart team wouldn't. Who knows if the Bengals would.

You draft and pay 4m per year and maybe they are good. You pay 8m and have the draft pick and know they are good.

The reason the Bengals won't is because their ownership is legendarily cheap.

Giving away our best draft resources for numerous years for a QB who is likely gonna spend years trying to become as good as Dak doesn't help towards that goal.

No thanks.

How long did it take Dak to make an immediate impact in this offense?

We could wait for Trevor next year but I doubt who has first pick would give it up. Unless it’s Bengals again.

Everyone seems to want top drafted QB’s but us and Bengals.Lol
