I've said this since he was drafted, you can google it. He doesn't play well in space, and is grabby. His technique is poor. I don't know why draft profiles said he was physical. He rarely got physical in press coverage. He just lines up, grabs the WR, and goes along for the ride.

you really need your eyesight checked. But then some here never can admit to a mistake- you were against the pick so you have to imagine things to defend your position

You are just embarrassing yourself now, everyone knows the Deon business decision approach that he utilized.

I'm embarrassing myself? You can't even spell "Deion" correctly even though I've spelled it several times for you. Deion never did what Jenkins did vs the Packers.

I haven't committed any fallacies you're failing to comprehend the points I'm making. What conclusions do you think I've arrived at based on my comments?

I have already spelled this out for you, just because you fail to understand your violations of basic logical fallacies and the corresponding implications and trajectory of your line of thinking, that is on you.

I can not "dumb" this down for you any further, I provided literal quotes of your violations and you continue to reiterate the same implications from a false proposition.

Another poster is telling you that your first logical fallacy is not "predictive" in any way and you still fail to grasp the basic error in your line of thinking.

You should of just simply left it by stating you hope Jones turns out well given you disagree with how our coaches are using him right now but there was no need to build a straw man argument based on history and ignorance of exactly what the future holds for Jones regardless of how you feel about their approach.

You continue to overstate your case, with two false propositions and an invalid argument.

Just state your opinion and let that be that, you are approaching this now as if you are twelve and go on and on about the same thing literally.

Another logical fallacy, attack the man but not the cogency of the argument, you are on a roll tonight.

What is is embarrassing you is your logic and argumentation, I could care less about internet spelling errors or anything else.

You're embarrassing yourself by repeating the same drivel over and over. As for not caring about spelling errors or anything else you must care some because you just edited your post replacing the word "role" with "roll." lol

Everything you've spelled out is as incorrect as your spelling of "Deion." LOL If you think this jargon you keep using makes you look intelligent or impresses me it doesn't. I've stated my opinion you're just carrying on with the same senseless drivel post after post.

This is evidence that you can not refute the logical fallacies, another logical fallacy of attack the man.

Again, no one needs to impress when you continue to use logical fallacies.

The major problem is that you utilized these false propositions initially, then once called out, contradicted the original implications flowing from the grounds of your original argument.

Further, I have not attacked your poor use of grammar, lack of proper punctuation and overuse of contractions because it has little to do with your poor use of logic and argumentation.

It does not matter and is not germane to the discussion, you will find those who employ such tactics simply are defeated in their argument!

Same drivel over and over. Give it a rest!

All you have done is attack the man in all your replies after being refuted on your use of logical fallacies, which is also a logical fallacy.

Just stop, we can agree that Jones needs to develop and leave it at that so to speak.

you really need your eyesight checked. But then some here never can admit to a mistake- you were against the pick so you have to imagine things to defend your position

Here's what I had to say about him in May:

Let's look at the plays Jones was involved in.

:30 Jones is beaten off screen on a comeback route. Would have been a bigger gain if the QB releases the ball earlier.
:45 Jones is about to get beaten on the inside slant, but the pass is tipped. I like how Jones tackled him after the tip. Good awareness.
1:15 Jones is beaten downfield, but the QB overthrows the WR. Jones got away with a PI because the ball was overthrown so badly.
2:06 Jones never turns his head around. This is PI in the NFL.
2:25 This is a completion if the QB and WR execute. Hard to tell if the ball was on target or not because it's a youtube video.
3:34 He stays with his man for a full 5 seconds, which is impressive, but you notice, he has his hand grabbing the guy's waist at all times. This is defensive holding in the NFL. Seriously, he held his jersey for a full 5 seconds and then pushes off and intercepts a terrible prayer of a pass.
4:05 Beaten on a comeback again, but you can't see what is happening.

I stand by what I said earlier. He was facing sub par talent at the WR and the QB position. Nothing like what he will see at the pro level. He grabs receivers well past 5 yards, and has a tendency to get more grabby when he's beaten. He is relying on grabbing the WR to stay in position, and doesn't play well when he has space in front of him.

I think the two comeback routes that he was beaten on are due more to the scheme and not wanting to get beat, but you can't really tell because you can't see what is happening off screen.

I don't have a pet cat, and I don't mind the pick, but I see him as a big project in the NFL. He is an insane athlete, and if they can coach a little NFL technique into him, I can see him as a solid player.

You haven't refuted a single comment I've made or answered a single question you just keep diverting by repeating the same theme over and over. I have you running around in circles. LOL Why don't you stop you're not making any sense.

You are in absolute denial:

The proposition that Jones will somehow be a bust due to the fact the Cowboys have not drafted corners well in the past and by having him play hybrid early on in his career, it is simply dumb.

Two logical fallacies in your proposition, a running theme logical fallacy of attack the man following being refuted.

You also contradict your original propositions in subsequent posts.

1) Argumentum ad antiquitatem: Appeal to history, drafting corners.

2) Argumentum ad Ignorantiam: Appeal From Ignorance: no way to know at this point, small sample size.

3) Argumentum ad hominem: Attack the man or spelling, not the cogency of the argument.

I mentioned on draft day that the Cowboys haven't had much luck drafting CB's in the first round the past several years. The best corner they've come up with since Newman has been Scandrick who was taken in the 5th round.
Moving him around isn't going to help him he needs to learn one position before he loses his confidence and the Cowboys end up with another bust on their hands.

You can't even spell "Deion" correctly even though I've spelled it several times for you. Deion never did what Jenkins did vs the Packers.

Attempting at correcting yourself and in turn contradicting yourself, you claim Jones needs time to show something early in order to turn out to be a good player in terms of the season, then castigate Jones for being inconsistent in the last preseason game by not showing good play ( in reality it was both) without having the benefit of actually playing a real NFL down.

Jones by comments made by the coaches and those watching him in practice and training camp every day indicate he is overall playing well, even against Witten in practice and training camp.

He is going to be inconsistent early, the problem is only if he stays that way or not, he needs reps to develop his game at the pro level.

This is a flawed line of thinking and contradiction, Jones needs time to develop and certainly it is way too early to make a proper adjudication.

The only fallacies are in your head because you entered this discussion with an agenda. I never proposed that Jones would be a bust due to the Cowboys history under Jerry of not drafting corners well and made that perfectly clear. I said from the very beginning that just because the Cowboys/Jerry haven't drafted corners well doesn't mean Jones will end up a failure. I've made no attempts to correct myself there hasn't been any need to because I've been consistent throughout this thread. All you've done is attempt to twist every comment I've made to fit your agenda. Your claim that I reprimanded Jones for his play vs the Texans is complete BS because not once did I mention his play against the Texans.

I haven't reprimanded Jones once in this thread I reprimanded the Cowboys for moving him around. You've refused to answer any of my questions choosing to divert by trying to put me on the defense continuing to twist my comments and make false accusations. You didn't enter this thread to have a discussion you're looking to start an argument and keep it going as long as you can by repeating the same senseless drivel post after post. There's not a poster on this board who would have wasted as much time as I've wasted with you. This discussion is over!

More of the same, the fallacies have been quoted from your own posts, in addition to the constant contradictions you have made in your own logic over and over again.

I am fine with ending the discussion, there is nothing else to say.

Where was he lost exactly? I keep reading that. For a guy who's a rookie, he was on his receivers like glue and was quick to the tackles all season. As a CB/FS you have to stick, tackle, and play the ball. He's got two out of three down pretty solid for a rookie. That end zone throw was a spectacular throw to his backside. It takes at least 3 years fo a CB to get there. We'll be fine. Personally, I hope they keep developing him at FS. I'm most excited at how solid Mo looked. If he suddenly shows up, I'm gonna be so excited. That would be huge for this defense.

Anybody who expected him to come in in year one and produce was kidding themselves, he's a project player and was a luxury pick for a team that can't afford luxury picks.
