Calvin Watkins: Cowboys are expected to interview Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn

Out of curiosity, who do you think the next HC will be given this is such a coveted job?
I have no clue which candidate will get the job and have no clue who should get the job. You actually think that a 10 million a year job is a bad job. That's really funny.

My recommendation for you today is you should read the post you are responding to before actually responding to it, because you clearly did not in this case.

If you think the Cowboy's job is worse than the Jets, Bears, and Raiders....I don't know what to tell ya. Just me, Pat's job is the only better than the Cowboys. The Jags and Saints are close but Dak and Parsons give the Cowboys the edge IMO.
how is the Patriots' job better than the Cowboys' job?

Just me but the Pats job is the only one better than the Cowboys
  • Raiders.......no ( tough division )
  • Bears..........no (GM and Pres already in a power struggle)
  • Jets..............no ( one name, Woody Johnson )
  • Saints..........not bad ( no QB )
  • Jags............ about even ( but I take Dak and Parsons over Lawrence )
  • Pats.............Yes
I agree. If Lawrence was on his rookie deal i'd probably give them a slight edge but he has a trash deal too. I personally would rather coach the Cowboys then the Pats but I can definetly see the other side too.

But the point is....its not like its the Chiefs or the Ravens are available. Its these teams. So while I imagine working under Jerry isn't ideal...these other teams aren't real ideal either.

Yeah the only thing I can see is that they do have a good owner. But team wise they are a mess. Bellicheat did a number on that team over the years. They lack talent. Which is why I said MAyo was a dead man walking when they hired him. He had no chance to get that right. And essentially the next guy may be in the same boat.

From my other post: the Cowboys job is the ONLY one in the NFL where the HC is undermined, neutered, and humiliated on a DAILY basis by the owner. That doesn't happen anywhere else. That alone makes it the worst job in the league, which is why the only HC's that come here are desperate burnouts or unqualified new newbies. Then add in the next HC will have the Dak anchor, recent blown drafts, etc. It's not even close.

Is that why MM had 3 straight 12-5 seasons? Regardless of social media and fan personal preference, winning is what counts. All that you are talking about means little or nothing with players on game day. Some of our fans worry too much about what others think or saying.

Slater mentions in one of her nuggets that Vrabel and Klingbury asked her at one of the post-season all-star games to introduce them to Jerry for future coaching opportunities. All this Cowboy's worse job talk is mostly fan-driven.......

There's still plenty of time
Absolutely.

Doesn't change what I said, of course.

But as the mantra goes, sorta... "Your words tell me yes, yes... but your actions tell me no, no."

They've rapidly put together interviews with Kellen and 2 candidates of color this weekend.

Why do that if you're anticipating stringing this thing out to the Super Bowl anyways?

Actions say they're not.

Exactly.....I agree working under Jerry has its challenges but I don't think it's anywhere near as bad as we think ( well that's before this season LOL ). As for the Raiders job.....good luck winning that division within the next 2-4 years.

Pats job has been filled.

That's great but what does it have to do with why the Cowboys job is the worst HC job in the NFL?
