Can someone tell me what Alfred Morris has done to be our starting HB?

Not if I remember correctly he wasn't. Johnny Johnson from the Cardinals edged him out. At least I think that was his name.
Emmitt won all of them except Sporting News which went to Richmond Webb.

But he won the AP Rookie of the year, which is the official one

I'm pretty sure we didn't need to use pick 4 to get this type of production.
Everyone needs to remember all the **** they talk when it's time to jump on the band wagon. You and the others might want to understand that this team needs Zeke to be special in order to go anywhere this year. Understand that and deal with the growing pains.

What has Zeke done? Scored a rushing TD in every game he has played in this season. Picked up first downs and keep the chains moving in short yardage situations. He had over 80 yards today. Not only that Zeke has caught the ball well and been outstanding in pass protection

It's the eye test. Given the same touches, I think he would be getting better numbers than Elliot. The play develops nicer and he hits the hole better.

Exactly, and he hasnt looked very good.
Morris just looks better overall.
I think you need to play them both, and just give Morris more time, like a whole quarter.
Elliot I was told did not fumble, but today he had two, so whats next ?
So far EE is a bust, not saying we should bench him or he wont get better , but doesnt look like he is gonna get the 2000 he was talking about lol.

They could rotate them , give EE one possesion then morris one and so forth, and then over course of few games if one stands out, then maybe
make him the main guy .
In the Seattle game Zeke clearly out played Morris. Plus you have no idea what's going on in practice

That's speculating though. Morris had 5 carries for 7 yards. Zeke had a 21 yard run

It's all speculation. I would say Morris is less speculation than a two game rookie given his history.

I'm not calling for Elliot's head. But he looks raw at the moment.

Look at the opportunities that Morris had.

The first run was a gadget play that the Skins read. The TD run he could only gain so many yards. And then he was given 2 other 'opportunities' when we ran the ball because everybody and their mother knew we were going to run the ball because we are trying to close out the game.

People talk about a 'savvy play' by Josh Norman...well, a veteran may not fumble the ball on that 'savvy play.'

I think Morris should start if anything to send a message to Zeke and to the entire team...if you play stupid and your backup doesn't play stupid, you're not going to get as much playing time as you were getting.

Vets even fumble. Zeke was benched the rest of the game. I think people are over reacting because they hated taking a RB at 4th and secretly wanting him to fail so they can say, see told you so

Dez did. They ruled it an incompletion because he didn't control it for long enough, but Norman used the exact same punch to knock the ball out of Dez's hands.

And did it result in a turnover?

The answer would be no.

Huge difference between an incomplete pass where the DB jars the ball loose and a running back running the ball and fumbling. Just flat out inexcusable.

Most people that are saying that probably didn't like the pick of EE back in May. People like to try to prove themselves to be correct even when they have no real evidence.

I loved the Zeke pick. What I don't love is rewarding the starting position to a player who hasn't earned it and missed a lot of training camp. He is a rookie and gets a pass for a lot of rookie mistakes, but I don't like RB's who fumble twice in the same quarter. It screams bad ball-carrying technique. I think he'll eventually turn into a good player. He might even become a great, but don't crown a dude just because he was picked 4 in the draft. Make him earn the spot. Up until those two fumbles, he was progressing well as a rookie.

In a way, it's good that this happened. Now we will get to see how he handles that.

Yep...despite the claims that he was going to have to earn the job, he didn't have to though. He has been ok, hardly looked like he had a second gear when he got running room today. Something doesn't look right so far. And then two fumbles....I am actually proud that our coaching staff benched him. If a little humble pie discourages him, then he isn't the guy we thought he was.
