CD isnt woth 30 million a year, not even close. They should talk about an extension. But if he wants max money just transition tag him with a 1st round offer see if any team wants him.

There is not a team in the league that would give past a 3rd for him. OK wide receivers are a dime a dozen.

Oh so am I. That’s his main problem. Hopefully it’s a maturity thing. Not all players with his talent take the league by storm. Everybody wants instant results and success in this day and age and I am no exception to that.

I just have a feeling that Lamb will take a different path and get better with more time. Lots of players would have packed it in after that drop. That wasn’t a routine 10 yard pass play. That was a big time miscue by him. He really stepped up after that and came through for us.

He’ll be alright.

The laughing was just a defensive mechanism……it’s the “wow I really dropped that easy pass” it happens. He’s a young receiver it’s going to happen.

Right now He’s a good receiver but he hasn’t hit his potential yet and not sure if he will.


But this organization under McCarthy has earned my trust. I’ve written them all off just for Noah Brown, Cooper Rush, Tyler Smith , etc to all look like studs. They’ve determined that Lamb is a #1 so I’m gonna ride it out with them.

Defense mechanism or not,if that was me I’m not laughing,I’m smashing something and apologizing to my team.

We haven't even played a quarter of the season, yet we're entertaining trade talks? Double sigh.

I honestly believe Lamb's problem is that he isn't being targeted enough. Not every receiver has an ironclad will like Jerry Rice or Michael Irvin and will DEMAND the ball and have the clout to do so.

Whether we like it or not, if receivers aren't getting the ball, some/many of them lose focus and interest. They tend not to be ready when the ball is thrown to them. And if they don't have that ALPHA personality and haven't earned what an ALPHA personality can get away with on the sidelines (like T.O. when he kept chirping at Donovan McNabb to get him the ball, and DM basically told him to "shut the *&$% up!"(which spelled the end of their relationship), then the receiver gets lackadaisical and zones out.

And if it's a constant "misconnect" between the receiver and the quarterback (like Amari Cooper and Dak last year), then the receiver really goes into a slump and tends to criticize the play calling or go passive-aggressive on the offensive coordinator and/or the quarterback.

I think it was interesting and significant that Cooper Rush kept going back to Cee Dee Lamb in the Giants game, and Cee Dee responded down the stretch. It will be interesting to see if Lamb continues to blossom while Rush is quarterback.

I don't want to assume anything because I'm not in the locker room nor am I an insider. But I see some interesting dynamics brewing.

I'm going to go out on a limb with Lamb - 8 catches, 145 yards, 2 TDs against the Commanders.

Lamb has been a borderline bust so far, but I'm not sure any picks we'd get for him would be worth it. We'd MAYBE get a 3rd round pick?... I'd rather keep him and not re-sign him if he doesn't improve dramatically.

Borderline bust? He’s top 15 in yards since he came into the league. Sharing receptions with cooper that whole time. I have no idea if this dude will turn out to be a true #1, but he’s far from a bust. Do you watch the nfl?

Did you guys miss the play were Lamb lowered his head and tried to run over the DB for the TD. He's an aggressive run after the catch WR. Players like that are always thinking about what they're going to do after they catch the ball. And yes, it can be a problem at times, but I wouldn't trade a guy like that for anything. Most WR with Lamb's playing style take about 3.5 years for them to settle in and find their balance.

To be honest he's been a disappointment this far in to the year. I will say how he laughed off the drop a gimme to the public was not a fan, maybe some natural bias there, he has yet to prove he was our best receiver, I still don't get the Cooper dilemma besides politics. If he just contributes like he has, I say we trade him and turn the wheel and get a first round cheap wr next year, unless he shows us something substantially more.

We were flat out lucky to get him. He is an excellent player to have on this team.

Regardless of the horrible drop, he has now had back-to-back good games.
8 catches, 87 yards, TD last week
7 catches, 75 yards the prior week

Not sure about him eventually being a guy that deserves the huge bucks though.

A defense mechanism is exactly how I view it. I guarantee he didn't find it funny at all, but I'd rather he laugh about it then let it get into his psyche. If he'd done that, no way he would've made the TD catch later on.

Hopefully he learns to not take any throw for granted, and decides to catch it first, then decide where to go.
