That's still a lot of dead money- enough to bring in several high quality free agents. But yes, Dak must be cut. It's true that his replacement might not be as good, but it's futile insanity to stay with Dak.

Dak is the James Hardin of the NFL. Just freezes in the playoffs.... Dallas can solve this we still have a good q.b. I still think it's coaching. Hopefully idiot finally brings in a great coach this time. Not a rookie. Not a guy wanting massages while team practices.;
Players play the game. Dak has proven over and over that he doesn’t handle the pressure of big games. Thats his DNA and no coach can change it. All the coaches can do is give him the plays. He’s gotta execute it on the field. Nobody can help him with that part of his job.

The problem is that he is one of the best qbs in the NFC and you would make the team worse.
Bad organizations stick with what they think is the best option at QB and waste elite talent. The OL is aging at LT and RG. CD, Micah and Bland will need to get paid and the overpaying for a QB that can't get it done will hurt them.

Not true. Bring somebody in that can teach him how to read coverage better. Or someone who can scheme better. Dak tore the league up this season until he faced better coaches then ours. These guys game planned Dallas on offense and defense so Dak wasn't the only one looking sad in these occasions. It's all about coaching. GB coach had a great plan for us on offense and for our defense. Our coaches couldn't counter it- on either side of the ball. We need better coaches -period! A different qb isn't going to do anything to move the needle.

Elite players show up in the playoffs. Micah drew a few holds and was MIA otherwise. He has the talent but he really needed to step up yesterday. It didn’t happen.
his worst game this year, but DQ has to you his differently. Too much DE this year. It was easy to chip and double him. He is at his best when he moves around. Also, no one else on the line gets any pressure

His worst game this year was unfortunately the biggest game of the year. That’s not a good sign. He could be just another Dak on the defensive side feasting on weak opponents and disappearing in important moments.

If we are moving on from Dak we likely aren't making the playoffs this coming season so just take the full hit then (assuming we even can). Then be free and clear afterwards.
Definitely not assuming this. There is still a lot of talent for whoever the QB is to work with. Rookie or inexperienced Qbs are a lot more quick learners in this era of the NFL.

He will be 8 year vet. If he can’t read a D by now then he never will.

If he was one of the best qbs in the NFC he'd still be playing and you have no idea whether we'd be worse on not. Possibly in the short term but not overall. There is still a lot of talent on this team to be good.

That’s BS. He has earned the scorn. He is now tied with Billy Kilmer and Alex Smith for the worst playoff record by a starting QB with at least 5 playoff starts. He sucks under pressure and pads his stats on cupcakes and in garbage time. His stats are very misleading. He is not nearly as good as they would indicate.
What are you saying is bs? I’m saying Dak could ok a trade and be sent away. No way should we keep him. He’s proven who he is, and there is no way we win with him.

Dak is incapable of running a playoff gauntlet, it has been proven. I know it is not just him but you can’t continue to throw money at him knowing this, it will further cripple the team in other areas. Jerry needs to have a sit down with him laying a few options on the table. Play for less, waive the NT clause or be prepared to be cut and/or play out the contract.

But, I suspect the Joneses are quite happy with just a postseason appearance, win or lose.

After last night's debacle only If Jerry has gone senile AL Davis like, Dak takes another snap as a Cowboy in 2024.
Folks Dak is the cancer that is either cut or well you get the idea.....
Just ask CD and the defense that just needs to carry the Bum every season!

He has a no trade clause. If they're letting him go it's better for him to be a FA, so don't expect him to waive it.

Frankly I'll believe the Cowboys are willing to move from him this year when I see it. They're more apt to extend and lower his cap hit, because Jones boys.
No trade clause only means he can veto the trade if he don't like the team. But if it's mutual he most certainly can be traded
