I'm glad Wade finally realized that Ware and Spencer can actually get tired at the end of the game. This is what was lacking last week. The guys were just tired. Butler and maybe CuJo need to get 15-20 snaps a game. We need Ware fresh!!

P.S. I apoligize for acting like a whiny ***** in the gamethread. I've calmed down since then. lol

Just gotta realize it's a long game and people aren't perfect. All you can hope for is to be more consistent then the other team and make some plays when the opportunity arises.

WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS OUT OF BREATH, WADE?!?!?!?

******, I wish all our guys were as cool as Tashard. I hope we keep that guy for a long time. If we start him next week I wouldn't feel at all worried. At all. TC is a monster. And our running game is unstoppable.

Well, the Cowboys made up for all that hubbub over them not having a sack or an interception yet this season. Ware came very close to adding 2 more in the sack column.

This game reinforced what I was trying to say last week. The Dallas defense needed to step up and make some plays. Many fans in here were ready to serve Romo's head on a platter last week. He wasn't awesome this week, but he controlled the game and didn't make any mistakes. Well, at least any that cost us. One man does not make a team. And when your defense steps up, the game becomes a whole lot easier on the offense.

So to all last week's Romo haters..

He passed for 250. No TD's but more importantly, no interceptions. A solid performance.

He's 29-13 as a starter.

I'd really like to hear some word on Felix. Haven't heard any updates on him yet.

Good win Cowboy Fans!

I love DWare's pressure, and he'll get "his" soon enough, but he has to lead the league in 'barely missed sacks' in the last three years. He always seems to get within a whisker of the sack before being pushed wide by his speed rush.

Soon enough he'll get his, but his doom most of the time is actually his speed, more often than not.

Yeah, Im with you on that. And notice that when we get our Running O going, a few spaces opened for our passing game. We are that kind of team right now, and that we should try to do every game. We really need Felix and MBIII healthy and capable of playing as soon as possible.

Its time for Jerry Jones to fix the coaching problem once and for all. Yes., they won and no matter how ugly the win was, IT STILL A WIN...

The Cowboys are still have the same problem as always, Penalties, poor tackling,,,suspect play calling...And A HC that is lost...

Player that played good tonight,

BROOKINGs, awesome motivatiom, outstanding night
T-Choice ol'reliable steady emmit smith like great job
Crayton,, reliable hands, shifty moves.. very solid
Witten, simple great
Victor Butler --two of dallas' 3 sacks good job rookie

Monday night LOSERS

T newman...could not handle smith, burned again
Wade Phillips....cant motivate a team, lack of coaching ability
Garrett, Redzone play calling VERY suspect,
SPENCER did he even play tonight
WAR is not playing up to his potential,, losing contract money
Bennett, still plays like a rookie'
Felix,,,great running but always hurt, can score TDs when your on the sideline

This team reminds me of the 5-11 Campi ERA very similiar

BTB...

those two plays is a example of not calling them according to your opponent's weakness. We were running all over them, yet we try two identical fade calls in a row. bad, have to trust your players.

It was ok to call it once, and RW should have made that catch. RW ran agood route, got extension over the guy and the ball was delivered exactly where it needed to be, he just didnt haul it in.

It was stupid to call it a 2nd time.

He's still learning, other than that I thought he called another great game. 3rd straight game we've had almost exactly 50-50 run/pass balance.

I'm sure Romo will have more bad games throughout the season, but hey It's ROMO you gotta take the good with the bad. Hopefully more good than bad..

I stopped reading right there.

Yeah, Smith had 4 catches for 38 yards (9.5 average), with a long of 15... he just OWNED T-New...

Ah well, at least now we know that Bigdog24 doesn't have a freakin' clue... no need to take his future posts seriously...

The running game is going to have us in games all year long. Can the defense progress from here? We'll see. It wasn't impressive, but it was a win. I'll take it. However, Denver at this point looks a hell of a lot more daunting than I think any of us imagined.

I suspect all our games will be tough, andd how we played tonight is the way I suspect we'll have to play alot of the season.

The passing game will open up more as teams change their scheme to slow down our run game. They'll have to.

As for Denver, not sure what they are. They beat Cleveland and Oakland, possibly the two worst teams in football. They won in Cinci on a miracle.

I'm sure opposing OL's main focus is to keep tabs on Ware throughout the game and they probably gameplan for him a lot. He was being chipped by tight ends and Rb's all game. Wade needs to be more creative with him instead of placing him at the same place all the time, maybe even drop him into coverage once in a while he needs a INT.

J*** Otah s a very good RT and Butler beat him like a drum twice.

Maybe we've found a nickel pass rusher to play opp Ware. At least a rotational guy.

the game was not the biggest game, nor the best win we will see, but the team came out and won it in the 2nd half.

Romo did all he can and played hard. His weakness was in the first half when the Oline did not hold off the blitzes very well and did not give Romo any time to scan the field.

The defense struggled some in first half, making a few crucial plays in the same time period. In the second half, defense and offense came out more fired up and created more 3 and outs in one half than I think they have done all year. Nice job at holding the running game in check, and what an improvement in the tackling in the 2nd half making up for a poor tackling performance in first half.

Wade, although he hasn't done anything yet to hold onto his job, he does deserve props for whatever he told these players at halftime. Great adjustments.

Garrett, well he is creative most especially in second half but he needs to know who his opponent is and trust his players. He needed to run the ball at the 1 yard line, our running game was a strength.

Overall, it was a good boost for the team because they proved they can be inspired and play that way after coming out in the second half like they did.
