I thought he had exceptionally game. I think he deserves a game ball as well as others. Especially in the 1st half. He gave Ware a run for his money.

I'm glad to see the D is back, been a long time. :D

Its time for Jerry Jones to fix the coaching problem once and for all. Yes., they won and no matter how ugly the win was, IT STILL A WIN...

The Cowboys are still have the same problem as always, Penalties, poor tackling,,,suspect play calling...And A HC that is lost...

Player that played good tonight,

BROOKINGs, awesome motivatiom, outstanding night
T-Choice ol'reliable steady emmit smith like great job
Crayton,, reliable hands, shifty moves.. very solid
Witten, simple great
Victor Butler --two of dallas' 3 sacks good job rookie

Monday night LOSERS

T newman...could not handle smith, burned again
Wade Phillips....cant motivate a team, lack of coaching ability
Garrett, Redzone play calling VERY suspect,
SPENCER did he even play tonight
WAR is not playing up to his potential,, losing contract money
Bennett, still plays like a rookie'
Felix,,,great running but always hurt, can score TDs when your on the sideline

This team reminds me of the 5-11 Campi ERA very similiar

Wow dude. Stop now, you've lost all credibility.

I agree that just because we won this one does not mean the coaching staff should be let off the hook (although they probably will).

Thats about as much as I agree with...
Newman had a decent game after the first quater, Ware and Spencer had good pressure most the night, Felix lit them up, injury problems may have to do more with the coaching than the back.

Nice win....we once again ran the ball in great fashion. Romo was sharp. If I am not mistaken, only Bennett and Roy dropped passes tonight. The run blocking was superb. Our D was huge in the 2nd half.......aside from the final drive, they gave up only 1 first down. They had 3 sacks, 3 turnovers, and a TD. Our ST is rockin the casbah.

I only saw a few mistakes....

1. Penalties in critical situations....Phillips, Adams (twice), Romo. Phillips cost us 4th and goal from the half yardline. Romo took us out of FG range with his, but at least he didn't get killed by the rush. Adams is just plain stupid, he needs to go.

2. Folk missed the 41 yd FG. I have come to expect him to make every kick. He gets a pass cause he is so awesome....still, could have used that FG just for momentum purposes early in the game. BTW, I felt the 2nd down playcall was horrible....it led to a sack and basically killed the drive.

3. The horrible coverage, especially safety help via Hamlin, on the scoring drive by Carolina.

4. The stupid cutesy playcalling on 2nd and 3rd down from the 1 yd line. Just run the dang ball into the endzone....I didn't like this playcalling at all.

5. Our pass protection struggled, especially the blitz pickup. We missed Barber tonight for sure.

To get a win at home against a bad team because they handed you the game doesnt get me all excited about the direction of this season. There are 4 or 5 NFL teams we could beat with our performance tonight, and Carolina was one of them.

This is the second time in 3 weeks we've turned in an average/below average performance against a bad football team. A team with our talent level shouldnt be letting team slike Tampa Bay and Carolina hang around until the 4th quarter.

We had 450+ total yds and put up 13 points offensively...nothign to brag about especially since penalties stalled some good drives.

I was about to post something about this. Tashard has got to be in my top 3 favorite Cowboys right now. The guy is so damn cool.

Plus, I picked him up for my fantasy team and he totally got me the win by himself. Thanks TC!! You the man!!!

**1** Sealing the game with a pick-6. And he's on the loser list. Lol. Ok guy.

**2** I don't know if you've been watching the games, or know anything about the game of football, but you do understand that Ware is constantly being either double teamed or getting chipped by a TE or RB, right? You also understand that Dallas lead the league in sacks last year, and DeMarcus Ware led the league in sacks last year also, right? You must know that offensive coordinators might gameplan around that, right? I mean, it's way too out of the realm of possibility for OC's to lean towards more quick passes and have Ware double teamed or getting chipped.

Other than those, you are right about almost everything. Bennett actually played better last year than he has this year.

Anybody have video of Choice's or Felix's ankle breaking Barry Sanders-esque moves?

I take back all my "ignorant" comments towards you, though people need to realize Flozell is a key part of this Oline. Good post.

I'm glad Wade finally realized that Ware and Spencer can actually get tired at the end of the game. This is what was lacking last week. The guys were just tired. Butler and maybe CuJo need to get 15-20 snaps a game. We need Ware fresh!!

P.S. I apoligize for acting like a whiny ***** in the gamethread. I've calmed down since then. lol

I hate the fade. Is it just me or does it fail 80% of the time? You throw the ball before the receiver is out of his break and from there its seemingly all luck.

That said... YAY WE WON! ...but please no more fades ok?

those two plays is a example of not calling them according to your opponent's weakness. We were running all over them, yet we try two identical fade calls in a row. bad, have to trust your players.

The running game is going to have us in games all year long. Can the defense progress from here? We'll see. It wasn't impressive, but it was a win. I'll take it. However, Denver at this point looks a hell of a lot more daunting than I think any of us imagined.

I agree that at the time it was the wrong call. But RW on a smaller corner or Marty on a LB is a matchup we should kill for.

What about a jumbo line with 1 yard to go to Tashard Choice?? yah I'll take Choice over the pass plays thank you.

Jay Ratliff ... He owned the interior tonight.

Special Teams ... except for the missed field goal they were sterling all night.

OL ... two 200 yard rushing days in a row ... wow!

I'd like to add that I love how our receivers block. They initiate a lot of these big runs with solid blocking on the perimeter. I love how committed Roy Williams seems to be at maintaining his blocks.

Disagree with a couple points you are making, especially with Newman tonight. Smith is a great WR and is going to get his catches; however Newman and Hamlin did an amazing job keeping him in check. Bennett I can't list as a loser because he's been a non factor the first 2 games anways. Felix looked amazing tonight and its a bummer he can't seem to stay healthy. but loser? nah
