Oh, I've never said a person can't change. As a Christian, the very message I preach and believe compels me to accept this basic truth.
I'm just saying that the decisions you make paint a picture of you - whether good or bad. And a person can start out making bad decisions then change and make good decisions. And the bad decisions simply become a part of your testimony and life story.

And as you say, if he hasn't changed, we'll find out eventually.

As a person I hope he remains on the straight and narrow, but that also coincides with my feelings as a Cowboys fan. I think he is a game changer and when everyone is healthy we can play with anyone. If it ever turns out I was wrong about him it would hurt pretty bad on both levels.

I'm not stupid. I'm not going to sit through abuse on my person no matter who it was. (other than my mother)
According to most reports it was his assistant that caused the bruises on this poor poor coke head.

No one is calling you stupid. And you may well strike a woman back who strikes you first. But you have the luxury of not being a professional football player.
And if a football player does that, he's going to face the consequences of society, including the glaring spotlight of the media and criticism of the public.

I wouldn't strike a woman, never said I would. I certainly would grab her to control her or push her away. Would she end up bruised? Probably.
Just because a person is an athlete doesn't mean they can't defend themselves. As far as any of us know, he didn't strike her.
I agree that allot of this story don't add up but that works both ways. Frankly, I'm just tired of the whole thing. It's over.

at this point there will never be a "truth" to this story because it's been whack-a-moled by every self-rightious wanna be calling him out because of their own problems never caring about what his may or may not have been. we can instantly judge and hate and call it a day, feeling better about our owm morality. you see, theres simply something in us that must judge others even if we don't know the whole story. we tend to learn enough to justify how we feel, not learn the truth.

now something like this has just blown out to make hardy the poster child of domestic violence and nothing, i repeat NOTHING changes the FACT he went through the legal process to the end, she didn't. whatever happened they made their choices to end this and they did. SHE is the whineyasstrap who brought the pictures out again to stir all this up and i can only assume looking for another payday.

see. now i get to judge too. hate, look what you've done to me. i can't believe i'd fall again so easily...

but i also follow up with - i do not know. if i personally see a big guy bouncing around a coked up woman who seems to have a manager in her corner carrying her through the fight and she winds up landing on evil semi-automatic weapons that are for sure to doom the world, i can promise you i'm not likely to put on my superman cape and save the day.

mostly cause i'd not be inside their house while it was happening. that's just weird.

but again - every media pundant is just using this opportunity to get their own name out there at this point. this *story* is what, 2+ years old, the man has gone through the legal system, he has gone through the court of public opinion, he has gone through the NFL system and now cause somehow these pics show up. out of nowhere. and this judgemental society we live in doesn't even ask why now, or who...we just rail on hardy, again.

at this point its not for the issue or even justice, it's just another LOOK AT ME type thing on a 2 year old "news" story that people use because of the times we live in and the traffic it will generate.

Used to be a big Barkley fan, because I was a Sixer fan because of Dr. J. The round mound of rebound was fun and talented. I used to like Berman....He could go all the way...Both of their Schicks have run thin on me. Now Berman has ESPN settle a sexual harassment claim for him, while dogging Hardy for "supposedly" paying off Holder.

Barkley "Barkley Throws Man Through Bar Window" seems to have comments also...After he beat on a guy for no reason who was 5 feet 2 and 110 pounds.

I wasn't present for either Barkley or Berman's episode, but if were like them I guess I would say they are both guilty, just because I don't like either crime they were accused of. The rest of the media should be screaming that they should never be on the air again.

You can find the audio recording of Hardy calling 911 in about three seconds in a google search. You could try that, though I'm sure its easier to make stuff up and call people Scumbags.

And FYI, the neighbor said she heard a commotion (that was consistent with Hardy's version of events) and admitted in the hearing she didn't know what had happened but just assumed Hardy was the aggressor.

Been there done that and you are wrong. You're just trying to defend this particular incident because we have this piece of trash on our team. Well I've counseled women of abuse. I've trained abused women how to defend themselves, and I've seen situations like this dozens of times a year.

I on the other hand am able to call a spade a spade. I'm embarrassed this animal is on our team, and I'm embarrassed we have an owner that enables and endorses this behavior. The forefathers that made this franchise great have to be rolling over in their graves over this owners antics.
