Check in for DC forum refugees

Now, this has been mentioned in here. I highly, doubt that Jerry himself has anything to do with the forum being shut down. He might not have even known one existed.

The Cowboys have zillions of social media managers, and I’m sure one of them has the authority to make that call.

I have to agree. JJ probably doesn't even know what a message board is. Anyone that honestly thinks he unceremoniously decided to shut down that forum has delusions of grandeur.

With how concerned the league is with image, I wouldn't be surprised if they start cracking down (and restricting usage) on all social media in general so that they can more tightly control their propaganda machine.

Signing in! So glad I decided to log in to DC.com yesterday and saw the stickied "Forum dieing" thread or I would have been lost forever not knowing about this place. Thanks everyone!

We have no idea if Booger knew the forums existed on even visited any of them so really can't lay the blame on him. But, we can blame him for everything else.......global warming, sexual harassment, the return of Roseann and those disappointed in "The Last Jedi". Booger should have played Snoke.

I hope all of the members got wind of the shutdown and they should have posted that prior to the end of the season before some left for the off season. They had to know quite some time ago that it was going away, those technical issues showed up over a month ago.

However, no sense in crying over a turned over martini shaker, time to move on and embrace a brave new world. Or in this case, a better site.

I think that site was always there. It's not really a fan forum but rather buying into a package for those of you who are able to visit the stadium and merchandising stuff.

I could be wrong, but I thought I saw a link to the boards if you clicked on the 'Fans' area at DC.com. Theres nothing but the new money grab site there now.

Wasn't someone blaming that Eagleton dude, or whatever his name is? Sounds like he knew of the totally negative vibe and could be involved in the shut down. My guess is it was a planned event, and the recent software problems hastened the demise. But what do I know.....

For the DC Forum guys, I'm Rogers. Apparently I joined this site in 2014 but never hung out here. I guess I will now. Now, where's jagger so I can bust his chops some more ....?
Hey, Somebody Who's heard of Rugby, now I feel better.

Glad you told us, you changed everything. You might want to sig that so the old guys will recognize you. Of course, you will need to remind me daily of who you are and how we know each other and that I am not Irish.

Very glad you are here.

The first explanation we got when the technical problems showed up was that the Cowboys were violating some NFL requirement about web sites and had to update it.

acr, it is a blessing. I struggled with that site a lot. Now, I know I ain't no cyberdude and most of my problems with an old IBM Selectric was the failure to plug it in but that site was inconsistent and wonky and should we be surprised? The owner still used a flip phone until just recently. I am surprised we didn't have to hook an old sewing machine with the foot pump up to power it.

I haven't figured out how to change my name on here. Maybe I can't. Or maybe I'm old and computers confuse me.

Just ask, they're helpful here but you do have to have your computer plugged in...and on.

It's about time for Jumbo to come back with the off season discussions. Gonna miss his off season input so hopefully he finds his way over here.

I made it! Bizarre the Cowboys think that Twitter or F-Book is a substitute for a discussion forum. Happy I found CowboysZone! Looks like an active board!
