Chris Johnson new youtube

Okay...this is just for you Daboys4life....he wasn't in the top ten in the 3 cone drill, he also sucked in the QB drills, he lost the slam dunk competition, and got knocked out early in American Idol.

He has no shiftiness to him whatsoever. Despite his other eye-popping straight ahead numbers, he wasn't even in the top 10 in the 3-cone for running backs. This guys will bust so hard. You don't get far running straight forward in the NFL as a running back.

He didnt participate in the 3 cone drills.. that might be why he didnt get in the top 10 theo

ooops

Chris Johnson looked shifty to me - way more shiftier than Tyson Thompson. He showed adequate cutting ability on that youtube tape.

But you have to question the level of competition, though. He looked like the Road Runner against Wiley Coyotes.

I didn't read every post in this thread but looking at this guy's youtube video immediately put me in the mindset of Julius Jones. He's a lil faster but he runs sort of upright and straight just like him, he almost stumbles when he makes cuts, and if I hadn't seen 3 years of Julius already I would definitely want to draft this guy. I was half way waiting for the "hotstepper" song to come on...

I really think it's hilarious how much you and theo dislike eachother lol.
Bob is like the grade school kid who insults the person he's infatuated with.

This guy could be to RB's what Troy Williamson was to WR's.

Or he could be the next Brian Westbrook. You, and no one else, really has a clue.

Oh snap. None of us have a clue. We better shut the message board down.

That's BS. We all have a clue. We draw out our opinions based on things we've seen. And I'm pretty sure everyone here has watched enough football to speak intelligently on the issue.

lol that's EXACTLY what I'm talking about, I think it's great.

Here's a serious question though:

I know that you like the idea of having a guy who is a complete RB as the backup and "complementary" guy to Barber, and I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I've advocated that too and have said we would still need to sign or draft another RB if we were to go after one of these speed guys. With that said, what do you think of Johnson strictly as a complementary guy?

All you have is an opinion. No one knows, how can you. I'm sure a lot of us like to pretend we know, but it's all BS really till they suit up on Sundays.

Speaking an opinion intelligently (which very few people do on this, or any team forum do anyway) is far different from knowing.

The fact that you're so offended by the mere suggestion that your opinion may not be fact speaks volumes.

he is more than a little faster than julius..and has a stiff arm which julius doesnt and he can break tackles.. he does run a little upright but his speed more than makes up for it

Knowing what will happen and having a clue of what will happen are different things. You don't seem to be able to separate the two.

And, by the way, I wasn't offended at all by your post.

I don't know that I can separate my opinion on drafting "just a complementary guy" from judging whether he's a good "complementary guy." I guess the best that I can say is that he's more of a 3rd round value to me.

Even people that do this for a living don't. They do their best guesstimate based on the information they have available, but even then, it's a guess.

You're guessing, same as everyone else.

The fact that anyone can come out with their opinion like it's fact is just plain silly.

Please! You think you know everything! :p:

j/k

That makes sense though, I can see how it would be difficult to form separate opinions like that.
