LOL Bowen didn't trade mark any move, but you go right ahead thinking Bruce was the first player to resort to that move. Who did Bruce Bowen ever eliminate from the playoffs that change the balance of power in a playoff series? The Spurs earned every Larry Brown trophy they received through championship caliber play, not by tearing a man's shoulder out of socket or cutting a MVP candidate at the ankle.
A good step towards improving the Spurs' roster, which is depleted and in decline regardless of what anyone says.
The next thing I would try to do would be to trade LaMarcus Aldridge.
We are in agreement. I'm not making excuses for Bruce but when others make comments like it was his "trademark" move as if no one did it before he did, it's just not accurate. Bruce was dirty and I saw it a lot... that's why I know it when I see it in todays game.Bruce Bowen tried to injure my favorite player, Vince Carter, multiple times by stepping into his landing zone, attempting to catch his ankle. A couple times while he was with Toronto, and then once when Vince was burning Bowen for 40+ in three quarters in New Jersey.
Bowen was a nuisance and nobody outside of the Spurs organization could stand his style of play. And this is coming from a Spurs fan. Trying to pretend he wasn't a dirty player is just not right.
I don't remember which announcer in the playoffs said it but I thought it was pretty insightful when they said, "even though he is in a Spurs uniform, Aldridge is still a Trailblazer", meaning he hasn't integrated well into Pop's system. I think it was Jeff Van Gundy.I thought Aldridge could step into that system and be a great player. But it's obvious that's not the case.
He likes to complain about lack of touches and how he's being used, and that doesn't fly in SA.

These Golden State fans "that only showed up 3 years ago" make me sick.
Stay ignorant.
