QBs who have played in the NFL I will listen to.
Reporters who just collect info from people like fans or other writers looking for writing material just are not good enough.
I once had a good friend who we would meet each other and we would meet at the gym and do a circuit of machines, shower and hit the pool.
He did a radio talk show in the afternoon. He would sit bu the pool with a bunch or newspapers and circle stories to discuss live on his live talk show.
So he would take calls about his daily topics and chat and exchange.
Bottom line was, while not an expert he was definitely a source.
So like Simms and others in the football mainstream..you just have to filter.
As far as Dak is concerned, they probably have Dak spotted correctly as a Top 10 guy.
But the problem is, in order to pay him..how do you factor in the talent around him and how to you arrive at a net worth.?
This is the problem. I spent time in my careers being a Real Estate Broker. To sell a house, you have a very mathematical process to arrive at a selling price.
You look at 6 comparables in the last 6 months and see what they sold for. Then you add or subtract values for pool or no pool, 2 car garage vs. 3 car garage etc.
Finally you arrive at your asking price.
Lastly, you market and see what offers come in. You have a starting point.
The market has been set already..Wilson, Wentz, etc.
Dak wanting to buck that is fine but it takes buyer and seller to agree.
Tricky tricky.
