fo we have a for sure starter there? Gregory may not play this year and Alton hasn’t played in 5 years. Who is your starter there if those two players are unable to either play or play up to expectations at RDE?
Certainly not Clowney. He sucks! There is a reason why he has been let go by 2 different teams already.

Take away that hit against Michigan and people are wondering who Clooney is right now.
He was on ER,Dated Stacy Keibler, and starred in the Oceans series. I mean it's pretty good being Clooney.

I don't know.... There is always an injury during the season. I would maybe save the money for an emergency.

1 play?

If Clowney is so good, why has 2 teams let him go, and why is nobody attempting to pick him up now that he is a free agent?

Why do you keep repeating lies?

https://www.bloggingtheboys.com/202...owney-find-himself-in-the-cowboys-price-range

1It is our understanding that the Seahawks made him an early-on offer to remain in Seattle - something in the range of $15 million for one year. He turned it down ... causing the Seahawks to turn the page and spend their pass-rush money elsewhere.

It is also our understanding that Clowney was offered a one-year deal in Cleveland that exceeded the Seattle offer. Amid rumors that that offer was $18 million, he also turned that down.

Now along comes a report from Tony Pauline from a site called “Pro Football Network’’ that alleges that Clowney has two targeted teams: The New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys.

And there is more than 1 play genius. Learn to do your due diligence before spouting nonsense.

And Saints fans salivating at adding Clowney.

NFL teams are reportedly concerned not just about his durability, but they doubt his work ethic & question his dedication to football. As a result, no team has been willing to come near his asking price. No thank you! We have enough drama with our QB.

You mean enough drama with our RB? No drama at all with our QB. Other than fake news.

So does HaHa Clinton-Dix suck too? We're his 4th team in less than 2 years.

Gerald McCoy was "let go" by Tampa Bay and Carolina.

Dontari Poe was let go by the Chiefs, Falcons, and the Panthers.

Aldon Smith was let go by the 49ers and Raiders.

That's 3, possibly 4, of our defensive starters. Someone better let the Cowboys Front Office know that all four of their free agent signings on defense all "suck."

For the price we are paying them? No.

For what Clowney is asking? Absolutely!

Clowney is one of the most disruptive players in the NFL. Very good player to add to your D, just not worth top dollar. He would be beyond excellent as a bookend to DLaw.

That doesn't make sense. If he was "one of the most disruptive players in the NFL" he would already be signed, not looking at a one year offer who isn't "worth top dollar".

Clowney has 32 sacks in 5 healthy seasons. DeMarcus Ware had 117 over 9 seasons in Dallas. That is what a disruptive player actually looks like.

You're equating sacks w/ disruption. Not the same thing.

Clowney = Antonio Smith, a very disruptive player, but only got 6 or 7 sacks per season. Not worth a top dollar contract, but a huge plus to have on your team.

What doesn't make sense is not understanding the difference between sacks and disruption. When you understand that, you'll understand why he's very disruptive and not signed.

If Clowney would've been willing to take a decent contract, he'd already be signed. Guys who disrupt but don't finish simply don't get top dollar.

You still aren't making sense. The disruption from a DE is mostly measured in sacks and Clowney has averaged 6 sacks a season for five years. He isn't "disruptive" enough to get a multiyear offer so far.

If he was a DT you might have a point. But he isn't, so you don't.
