2 NFL teams brought him in and QC beat him out in NY for the backup spot. Ricky Ray is a never was yet you continue to spout off about him as if he was some great QB. Currently no team has made a move to get Ray and if he has not made it to the NFL at this time it is not going to happen. So please continue with talking about a never was as you rip in to Johnson who at least has skins on the wall and a ring to boot. There is nothing wrong with bashing Brad. Most people easily see his limitations. It is the other QBs that are brought up as better options than Brad that is amusing. Some of these other so called better options are laughable. And other QBs that are brought up just are not obtainable and therefore are not true options for Dallas. The NFL is a league short on quality QBs. Not every team is going to be able to land two of them. Some teams can't even get one.

Go ahead and laugh, but Tommy Maddox would have been a better option.

Very good point, joseph. And I think that's why folks are somewhat ok with the Johnson signing. When looking at the other options out there, they're not all that appealing.

That is a discarded Quincy with drug problems who beat out Ray. That says quite a bit about Ray. He wasn't beat out by a QB that came into the beginning of training camp with him. Quincy came on a couple of weeks in after Dallas released him. Ricky can only dream of having half of the career Carter has already had. That is the sad reality of the matter.

Even at almost 40 yrs old Johnson is 1000 times better than Maddox. Maddox's elbow was toast after that hit he took a few yrs ago. At least Brad can still literally throw the ball.

CFL means nothing, few guys who play in the CFL will ever make it to the NFL, a small number of guys have but for the most part the CFL players are not good enough to even be backups in the NFL. 2 different leagues with 2 very different talent levels which is why they are stuck north of the boarder instead of playing in the NFL. So when you brag about his CFL career who cares that means nothing at all.
