Coaching isn’t what’s going to put us over the hump

Reality is we don't have shot at Mahomes or Allen but I think most reasonable people would conclude that we would be better if we did. I propose use all available resources to build up the D and running game...don't know what it would take but I'd start there.

Kind of like I said Mahomes and Allen not happening.
With the amount of money we have invested in our underperforming stars the resources we have are pretty much the draft.

So if we're real lucky maybe we could draft a run stopper in the first round a real center in the second round and a running back in the third round.
That's probably about as talented as we are going to get for players that could start out of this draft

If he'd of done what the 2 loosing QB's you listed did they would have beat the 49ers...plus you are proving Greg's point, what about the winning QB's would the boys be better with Mahomes ,Stafford or Burrow.
Bull. Burrow didn't win the game for his team. Tannehill threw that game away.

Now you added Stafford? You Dak haters are the worst. Always moving the goal posts for other QBs, instead of for your own who is plenty of good enough.

Ok I think some of what you say is weak area, has more to do with coaching and schemes than it does talent.

Part of it is jerry too, in the wc game jerry had his OL in the game , not necessarily the best guys in the right positions.
IMO Steele should be left or right tackle, lael at left guard, Smith on the bench lol as I think he is done.
But jerry wanted the big names, his guys all in there and it was pathetic.

There are other things you can do to help on pass protection which dallas doesnt do. Same thing on run blocking , the schemes are awful.
I dont like zeke, but I dont put all the blame on him, the schemes are awful.

I've been saying since the end of Preseason that Farniok is the answer at Center, but Philbin and the organization are hellbent on proving they made the right choice with Biadasz. Farniok is better than Biadasz in strength, athleticism, technique, etc.

Based on what?

And Dak wasn't a play or two away from leading the Cowboys to a victory against the same 49ers who defeated Aaron Rodgers and the Packers and are now in the NFC Championship Game???

No. Clock shenanigans gave the Cowboys an extra 8 seconds at the end of the game. The dumb QB draw play shouldn't have even happened.

I just mentioned it: strength, athleticism, technique, etc. Go watch his 4th quarter performance against the Eagles in Week 16 and his 3/4 game start in the last preseason game against the Jaguars starters.

Agreed. With 14 seconds left and the ball at the 49ers 40 yard line, that was enough time to throw 2 Hail Mary's into the endzone. If the first throw is not caught, it would have fallen as an incompletion, thus giving the Boys another Hail Mary attempt.

You're just a whiny crybaby who is mostly wrong. Period. You don't even think before you type. Just complain, complain, complain.
Sure, what’s there not to complain about. You used to as well until Dak took over. He changed your entire view on the Cowboys. Probably nothing more than an extension of your Romo trolling . You’re just rooting for Dak to surpass Romo’s success.

While it was questionable it could have worked if anyone had looked for a ref to hand the ball to. It was like the dumb and dumber sequence with 8 seconds left.

Romo went Hollywood. He wasted his prime and healthy years seeking the limelight, hooking up with a Hollywood bimbo and flying to LA, Vegas, Cabo and even going to open arena rock concerts during the week and before game days, including the playoffs. What's to support about that? How did that work out? A few of us told you what would happen, and it absolutely did. By the time Romo settled down and took the game more seriously, his body was breaking down. Game over. That's what you liked supporting?

No, I was critical of Romo too. I’m just not sure why you’re more supportive of Dak era?

I don’t think this dysfunctional organization can build a championship around either.

Right... the question was what did you base that on.

Go watch his 4th quarter performance against the Eagles in Week 16 and his 3/4 game start in the last preseason game against the Jaguars starters.

They played the Eagles in week 18 and the Eagles weren't playing their starters.

As regards the preseason against the Jags, it was preseason against the Jags...

I don't think you understood my point, I was saying the Cowboys were given an extra 8 seconds at the end of the game.

Romo never “went Hollywood”! There was a rather lengthy collection of articles written about him, about how driven he was, and the work he put in. Listen, I like Dak, and I support him, because he’s our guy. He’s a good leader, he’s bigger and stronger than Romo, and he’s a hard worker. I just think Romo was a better passer with uncanny escapability. But Romo, like everyone before, is gone. Dak is our guy now, and if guys like Flacco can win, so can Dak.

You say “Homer” like it’s derogatory. Why is that? What is your definition of a “Homer”?

a homer is never having to utilize critical thinking when saying that 12 wins in the NFC East is the same as 10 wins in the NFC West……how did that work out?
