Was that the Green Bay game over 8 years ago when Zeke rushed for over 150 yards?

When was the Pittsburgh game?
Who cares when it was it was Prescott
OK, Ezekiel Elliott. Do you give him the same credit for fumbling the ball on the end zone against the Rams. Can’t have it both ways you know. The reason why we don’t win championships is because of our defense. Just like against Green Bay they walked all over Parsons and Company

He has to go back to 2016 :muttley: when Zeke was a rookie sensation and we had the most talented offense roster-wise supporting # 4.

I hope 49'ers do it!!! Pay the man!!!! :muttley:
they probably won’t. this season gives them leverage. his performance, daks performance, journeyman reclamation performances. so they’ll likely get him for a relative “bargain”. and pick before us

I don’t care a whit that you’re a former player.
I don’t care a whit that football as a job is also entertainment. It’s still a job with requirements and responsibilities. Players have more invested than fans OBVIOUSLY, but that doesn’t mean fans have nothing invested and by extension shouldn’t have expectations for the players on the teams they follow.
Go try out for the team. Share in the hitting and rehab. But I'm guessing you would never have done that. Like most fanatics you believe someone owes you a taste of glory while you observe safely from your sofa.

We had a record breaking defense with Quinn. Peddle that fake excuse for Dak elsewhere.
In what category, please? Sacks only. Quinn sucked at stopping the run, and his defense imploded against all balanced teams. His defense in Washington is just like his defense in Dallas….terrible against the run. They can win if the offense soars, but otherwise, the defense gives it up.

And I don't disagree that he came up short. But did you also realize that we led the league in penalties for multiple seasons as well? That means many people on the team came up short including our quarterback.

I wonder how many quarterbacks had success in the playoffs with a team leading the NFL in penalties for 2 or 3 straight seasons.

Now you speak of the other guy appearing in CCGs and a Superbowl, correct?

Well Trent Dilfer and Nick Foles won Superbowls and Dan Marino and Jim Kelly didn't.

So according to your logic, Dilfer and Foles were better quarterbacks than Dan Marino and Jim Kelly, correct?
It took more than one to help lose but Daks failure to perform was a major factor, penalties that’s on MM and Jerry and the no accountability atmosphere in Dallas. The penalties hurt but interceptions and bone head plays hurt more. Your SB reference, That’s a straw man argument and you fully understand that. Dak’s teams were good enough to advance as for Folks and Dilfer they played well enough to get it done and nobody on the planet thinks they are better than Kelly or Marino.

Okay. Sounds like you were seriously calling them out. Who cares what they think. Dak doesn't, why should you?

On the other hand...I do get it. It's a bit odd thing to say. If you don't like him as a player, team mate, contract signee :)...fine. But as a person? Who knows.

Still...it still really just doesn't matter. Can't change the whole world.
Absolutely correct SteveTheCowboy.....I just like shaking the leaves on the tree. However, thanks for keeping me in check.

You love your appeal to emotion fallacies lol and now you’ve gone and stepped in a false equivalence fallacy, too.

Former and current professional athletes aren’t the only ones who get to form opinions about athletes and their responsibilities as professional athletes. That’s ridiculous.

A person doesn’t need to be a firefighter, for example, to expect a firefighter to be in good enough shape to save them and their family when the ish hits the fan. Which speaking of, I never signed a contract or swore an oath as a firefighter that explicitly says I have to stay in shape in order to perform my duties, but it’s a job responsibility rooted in a moral imperative nonetheless, which is why I, as a firefighter, spend a lot of time working out and keeping myself in good physical shape. And yes, firefighters who get fat and physically sloppy ARE violating their job responsibilities and duties because they have a moral imperative to be physically fit and any professional athlete that doesn’t prioritize winning at the highest level is ALSO violating their responsibilities and duties explicitly AND implicitly derived from their contract, as well.

He's worth more than Dak. He has beaten the 49ers and Packers. Two good teams that Dak couldn't even come close to beating. Purdy almost won a SB so he has to be paid.
Owners decide what players are paid. Players want to be paid as much as they possibly can. There may be an owner that thinks Darnold or Purdy is a better quarterback than Dak, but they may also think Dak is not worth $60 million per season. They may not want to make the same mistake Jerry Jones may have made. Darnold is going to get tagged and be paid $40 million next season. Purdy’s agent will get him a good contract, but it will be well south of $60 million per season.

Questioning someone’s intelligence and class based on making 60 million a year….seems off based lol.
Based on the salary cap and the important players we need to sign and even some of the lesser players who would like to stay here but can't now, it absolutely points to intelligence and class.

Think of a pie being split between 54 people and one person takes 1/3 of it. I think most of us would call that guy a dirtbag.

When one goes to intelligence and class.........just off opinion.........hmmm.
It's based on subjective data. We have a salary cap and he takes a large portion of it, leaving less money to everyone else. That affects the entire organization from top to bottom. He has no class.

If your manager/supervisor said "J_Allen, I know the experience and work or service you've done is commensurate to the going rate increase. However, I can't give you that or want you to understand we will not give you a raise, because we have to take care of Becky, Ralph and Lou Ann.....................". I think I'd say J_Allen doesn't have class. He is selfish too. Me, on the other hand...... I'd say...."What does Becky, Ralph, and Lou Ann have to do with my worth? I'm classless.

Oh not the dreaded pie argument from Stephen….

I look at it this way…..

Do I take 60 million? Or do I take 40 and you give that money to lesser caliber players like Dorance Armstrong, Tyler Biadiz and Dante Fowler…..

When Dak made 500k a year…I don’t recall many people caring about his lack of piece of the pie…
