It's not necessarily the 'play-off' run, it's more down to the optic of taking their chances, against the best....when it matters (usually late, or when trailing).
Most every winning QB has to orchestrate a game winning 4th Q drive and this is the area in which Dak doesn't seem able to step up.
the only viable solution is to draft a QB high in the draft which Jerry doesn't do. or he wants to pick Manziel because he is thinking how many Jersey's he can sell. his other top choice was Lynch, which we all know how he turned out.

His actions don’t lol. It’s a billion dollar industry. As a matter of fact…..he took 60 million and as a result Dorance Armstrong, Biadiz, Fowler and Stephen Gilmore got paid more and are on playoff teams lol. They all do interviews about how the grass is greener elsewhere so it doesn’t seem his actions negatively affected others. It was all positive.
the grass is greener elsewhere because they are better run organizations. cowboys had 23M on the cap this year, yet they chose Zeke over Henry or Barkley.
Philly has 6 top 5 positional contracts on their team. yet here we are. they are competing and are contenders. btw, so does Detroit. so how is they are able to keep the players they want and we have become crippled by one contract. which is only 5M more than their QBs. 5M crippled and handicapped the cowboys.... Philly signed hurts to 53M contract and was able to sign Barkley who crossed 2000 yards this season (in 16 games). we went and got Zeke!!!! Philly handed Brown a very nice large contract. we gave CD a contract and are just frozen in cap space!!

who runs the organization matters more than contracts crippling a team.

The difference is there's a salary cap in nfl. There's not one at any other job. And if they have a set budget for pay increases and you take 1/3 of it and leave the rest for your coworkers, yes I would say that's greedy.
if you look across NFL, that's pretty much every team. but you are measuring and comparing cowboys in a vaccum.

Philly's top 6 contracts are 193M average.
Detroit top 6 contract are 170M average.
GB top 6 contracts are 155M average

Cowboys top 6 contract are 167M average.

so how is those teams are competitive and we are handicapped because of the cap!!!!
are the players on philly, detroit and GB selfish?

He has to go back to 2016 :muttley: when Zeke was a rookie sensation and we had the most talented offense roster-wise supporting # 4.
this made zero sense. Dak was a Rookie QB....how many Rookie QBs find success in NFL and playoffs.

you should feel stupid for just wanting to jump in an saying something...if you want to pile it on, at least do it intelligently

Based on the salary cap and the important players we need to sign and even some of the lesser players who would like to stay here but can't now, it absolutely points to intelligence and class.

Think of a pie being split between 54 people and one person takes 1/3 of it. I think most of us would call that guy a dirtbag.

Interesting what Purdy and Darnold are paid after this season.

The Bucs effectively got Baker Mayfield for around $105 million over 4 years with a tick over $50 million guaranteed. He just had an MVP type season.

Flip side of the coin is the Dallas Cowboys paying Dak Prescott $60 million a year over 4 years with $231 million guaranteed.

One good contract and a truly horrific kneecapping contract. Perhaps the offers will be somewhere in between the two for Darnold and a bit more for Purdy.
I think Purdy is in a pickle bc he wasn't good this year without his cast of pro bowlers around him. I think on the open market, he's looking at a Baker Mayfield type deal. Niners have a long history of not paying this position at the top of the market. If they stick to their organizational philosophy, Purdy walks and they may go sign Darnold for cheap or swing a deal with MN to get JJ McCarthy if they resign Darnold.

Hug your Dak doll and go to sleep buddy as you are in no position to judge any Cowboy fan.
There are few left here who hold Daktrash above the glory of the team.
Why, well we all know we just can't say it..........now go watch some games vs the Giants and D.C. where Dak is great..... :muttley:

Once again when the reality and truth are presented you Dakzoids resort to insults.
Classy group.............Kudos.
Truth is an insult? Interesting. Low iq and emotional. She's grasping for straws in desperation

I brought up low iq and only one person responded. Hmmmmm felt convicted eh?

actually, if you don't 365x24x7x60x60 criticize dak, then you are a dak supporter.
on this board, even the kicker topic turns into a dak topic.

these dak haters are obsessed.....kind of worrisome for some of them.
