How do you hope a team wins when quite a few of them.....you simply don't like?

I am not pushing for or against either quarterback, but I do want to point out that video cover image compares their first four seasons.

However, that's not the Andy Dalton of today.

I would like to see a comparison of Dalton's stats the last 4 years compared to Dak's last 4 years as that would be a way more relevant comparison for their worth.
I want to add to this with another point that Dak is significantly younger than Dalton. That's a "stat" that needs to be considered as well. At this point I am conflicted on what I want as far as Dak goes, I go back and forth. I do feel confident that getting older at the QB position would not be wise.

Dak is in the top 5. You’re clueless
Slightly biased, but not clueless. I'm fairly certain most GMs would put him in the 11-15 tier range. If Dak was actually a top tier, franchise QB, he would've had a deal already. Jerry gets a lot of justifiable hate for his GM and other decisions, but he is not one to skimp on a player he knows the value of. To consider Dak top five is simply absurd. He may have certain intangibles, but his measurables are not franchise QB worthy, nor elite.

Thats a real problem these days. Its okay to feel shame, even good! It helps us grow! Ignorance on the other hand...
I feel zero "shame" whatsoever keyboard commando. You must be a high school cheerleader or something to take others so personally because they're not infatuated with a player like YOU are.
Hmmm you're equating "ignorance" with people who disagree with you about a bloody football team player. It's a stoooopid game mate. Incredible warped sense of importance you've got there.
And I'll repeat it - Dak is a good backup.

Dalton has 7 interceptions.... his output against average teams has been 16,3, 10, 17....half of which came in garbage time....

the only reason Dalton has been winning is the defense getting turnovers for him...9 to be exact...and defense scoring and special teams scoring...

Dak had 4 Interceptions...2 of them came in the last few seconds of the game in hail mary passes..

can I ask you a question?

what color is the sky in your world?

Ah, so Dak put his team in a position to win, but threw INTs twice, while in a position to win... or they were just meaningless hail Mary’s, as a result of meaningless yards and points while getting blown out, aka stat padding in garbage time...

Andy has thrown INTs, meaningless ones at that, because he’s throwing the ball in the end zone, aka while actually winning. That’s why during this win streak and he has finally gotten some consistent line play he has 13 TDs to 4 INT.

even that would not be relevant, different teams and coaches.
It is hard to compare accurately, imo you need to throw out the stats, and look at the bottom line, did they win or lose.

Dak only had 1 win and it was a flaky miracle win thanks to some very dumb atl players and coaches.
Dalton has had 3 in a row, now that he is getting in a groove.

I think Dak is possibly better overall, but when you look at what you have to pay him, compared to what you would pay dalton,
Dalton is the better choice. It would free up cap for more def FA , if they can get someone good.

Colin may have went about it the wrong way, but his basic thought is Dak isnt that much better, to warrant his cost of maybe 20 mil more a year.

So when Dak threw an INT in his own territory against Seattle, gifting them 7 points, it wasn’t his fault? And the ‘Hail Mary’ of a whopping 26 yards with 16 seconds to go on a THIRD DOWN in Seattle is considered just a ‘prayer’?

And the Browns INT was a Hail Mary even though Dak stared down Cooper into two defenders on a 1st and 8, with around 1:40 to go? Of course they were down 27 in the fourth, but yeah, I’m sure the Browns weren’t playing soft defense and those weren’t garbage time yards.

Dak is the king of garbage time yards. After 2019, Dak’s career numbers against at least .500 win teams is 35 TDs and 27 INTs. That’s about a 1.2 to 1 TD/INT ratio. Paper Tiger.. When trailing or tied, Dak has 10TDs and 9 INT.

And he continued this tradition this year, meaning 2020. He has 4 TDs and 3 INTs within 1 to 8 points.

My favorite part is the injuries in the GB game last year, when Dak threw 3 INTs and padded a bunch of garbage yards by throwing 44 times, and all of his 24 points coming in the second half when the game was over. Of course the ‘injuries’ of the OL were just another excuse for Dak fans while completely ignoring the hot mess that Dalton has faced. Suddenly it was Dak who was ‘carrying’ this garbage team this year...

Cowherd is simply saying what everyone already knows. No one hates Tag. But he’s not worth what he’s asking for. And you can just keep Dalton whos basically the same QB, save the money and draft a rookie QB on a cheap 5 year deal.

lol. Keep Dalton for how much? How long? Draft a rookie qb where? And at the expense of drafting D? That’s your plan?

Yeah, it’s the same plan as KC, BUF, MIA, BALT, CLE. You know, playoff teams with franchise QBs.
Your struggling with this concept? Oh, and a couple of those teams moved up to get their guy. Some stayed put and got their guy. Just FYI, It happens all the time.
