I'll be the FIRST to admit about Randle.... You can go back to the draft thread that day.... Me screaming RANDLE

Obviously my inside sources & my evaluation were slightly off.... LOL

Just don't get it....

I never thought McFadden would be anything other than relief for Randal.

I can't understand why anyone would say that Randle only had issues off the field. Last season he averaged 2.5 yards a carry after the 1st quarter. He was pretty much done after his first 10 carries.

Randle never came close to contributing in a way that most expected.

I was pleasantly surprised by McFadden, he seems to gain momentum as the season progressed. I suspect he just needed some familiarity with his teammates to develop a rhythm.

As long as the Cowboys can find a credible second guy I think they will be okay at the position.

I thought Matt Johnson would eventually play a regular season game and finally prove his doubters wrong. Egg on my face.

C'mon, How many of you insisted that Joseph Randle was the answer after Murray was signed away by the Eagles.

How many of you went for that whole "left meat on the bone" smack from Klepto Joe?

How many of you posted that Randle was going to help the Cowboys prove Murray was just an average back and it was all the offensive line by delivering favorable numbers. Nobody said a repeat of Murray's season, of course. But did you insist that he was going to be a successful element of the "RB by committee" approach this season?

If so, do you still believe it was a good idea to get rid of Murray? Do you feel as though McFadden can fill the void now that he's had a full season on the team?

I think everyone knows where I have always stood but so you don't think I consider myself a football oracle, just so you know I'm just looking for some fun, let me make this easier by revisiting other predictions I once made:

I predicted that Stephen McGee would be a great quarterback and if Romo was ever out an extended period of time with McGee as his backup, he might not get his job back.

I predicted that Bruce Carter would be the next Ken Norton.

I predicted that Escobar would have a breakout season in 2015.

See, it's easy. Come clean.

I never bought into Randle being the answer and neither did the team or Dmac wouldn't have been here. I did think he could be a part of it and I did think and still do letting Murray walk was the right move

Here's what I texted HoustonSucks on June 24:

McFadden will miss 2 games and finish with ~238 carries for 1200+ yards. Randle will play all 16 games and have ~198 carries for 1050ish.

So I thought Randle would be capable behind our line. I didn't think he'd go off the rails the way he did. But I didn't think he was anything special at RB. Those numbers were also predicated on the assumption that Romo and Dez would both be healthy - I think had those things happened any of our potential RBs would have had a much easier road.

My bigger issue was with paying too much money to a shop worn Murray, although I loved him as a player. IMO they ran him into the ground in 2014 and made it incredibly unlikely that they'd re-sign him by doing so.

I actually had more faith in McFadden. Once that stolen underware thing happened, I didn't trust Randle completely. Overall, I felt that our line would get us by with a RB by C approach. But I'f I'm gonna come clearn, I DID think Christine Micheal was going to be great for us.

I dont think there were many people that thouht randle was the answer. The majority of people who wanted to move on from murray thought the running game answer was th o line. Those people were proven right this year.

Aversion at its finest. Nice work.

My conscience is clear. I never thought too much about Randle, knowing that he was no Murray. Not even a Troy Hambrick.

Not me. I wanted him cut after that shoplifting incident.

Not cut, but replaced. That incident was the straw for me and then badmouthing other players when he got arrested, the writing was on the wall.. Physically I knew he had some talent, but watching on TV never reveals their true character. I wanted to draft someone last year because I knew going in he was not dependable.

I was screaming from the rooftops that letting Murray go and replacing him with Randle and DMC was a huge mistake. It was a bad decision the moment it was made because it came from hubris.

The FO wanted to prove that anyone could run behind the great OL they put together and why JJones won FO on the Year. It was a decision to get intentionally worse on a whim.

Anyone that thinks what Murray did in Philly is some kind of vindication are fooling themselves. Just like those that think DMC had a good year. IF Murray ran for 1089 yards and 3 TDs this place would be screaming at the drop-off.

Instead they are left trying to make make excuses for DMC's very average year.

I didn't think that Randle should have been cut until he was replaced. He was a great, cheap back-up for Murray. This was even after the hotel/marijuana arrest. But we never drafted anyone and even let TRawls escape to SEA.

"the answer"?

no.

i thought randle would play well in a rotation, getting about 15 carries per game.

i did not expect mcfadden to outplay him.

but, clearly, *you* expected murray to outlay mcfadden *and* randle. so, how about *you* come clean about murray and his huge contract?

I thought your post was going to be the Cowboys' email to Randy Gregory for the last 12 games of next season
