None of it makes any sense. And the online criticism is well justified. Marvel’s quality control has really taken a drop off. Stuff like this would have never passed muster in years past.
I’m hopeful that the entire subplot with G’iah and the British agent is thrown out and forgotten about. The less said about it the better. Forget it ever happened.
At the very end, what was Sonya doing with the mindcontrol machines? Was it ingering that she took that technology from the Skrull for her gain?
Your assumption may not be far off, lol.Is it me, or did the MCU quality mostly start to drop off at Stan Lee's passing? Maybe I'm getting the timing wrong.
I think you’re very close. For me, it was post Avengers: Endgame. Is it me, or did the MCU quality mostly start to drop off at Stan Lee's passing? Maybe I'm getting the timing wrong.
Maybe when they placed Kevin Feige in charge of Marvel TV and Marvel Comics. Is it me, or did the MCU quality mostly start to drop off at Stan Lee's passing? Maybe I'm getting the timing wrong.
Interesting.... I'm so very familiar with two of the aforementioned DC Comic entities,.. not so much the others.10 Best DC Characters Created By Jack Kirby

One of the true fathers of modern comics, Jack Kirby has left one of the biggest footprints on the comic book industry. The legendary creator of characters like Captain America, Silver Surfer, and co-creator of the X-Men and Fantastic Four, Kirby is best known as a Marvel mainstay. However, in the 1970s, he departed Marvel Comics and went on to write some powerful stories for DC Comics. While there, he wrote, drew and edited some of the decade's most influential stories and created characters who remain staples of the genre.

Crap!"We Didn't Know It Was The End": Jonathan Frakes On Directing Star Trek Discovery Series Finale
By John Orquiola | ScreenRant

<snip>
In an interview with Variety conducted before the SAG-AFTRA strikes, Jonathan Frakes explained how he came aboard to direct the first half of Star Trek: Discovery's season 5 finale, only to later learn that Paramount+ canceled the show, which made season 5 the final season. Read his quote below:
“I directed the first half of the finale of Season 5, which turned out to be the real finale. So that was a very emotional end as well. When we did it, we didn’t know it was the end. And then [‘Discovery’ executive producer and director] Olatunde Osunsanmi had to go back up and do two or three days of new stuff to actually make the finale the finale.”

I could agree about Disney cutting back on contents.Curious if when Fiege gained pretty much full control over Marvel in 19 over Perlmutter and Alan Fine leaving the company had an effect too. I've read that those two in the past had delayed/put on hold movies/shows(for better or worse) and since 2019 Fiege has had pretty much the only say for films/tv but until Disney's boss Iger said they wanted to cutback on content just recently. Ignoring Ike's views, it seemed like he was a beancounter, something now Disney cares about now that they've had several "flops".
Then there was Loeb who was part of Agents of SHIELD and had wrote some comics as well who left for another company.
I knew Fine from 13-15 years ago, during Phase-1 and 2 of the Marvel franchise. He lived in a club near Palm Beach Gardens. Nice guy, and surprisingly humble/willing to talk to "regular people". He was one of the executive producers during the first 2-3 phases IIRC.
Had a feeling you would enjoy the Etrigan mention. James Gunn has the type of imagination to introduce a character like Etrigan. It is just a matter of 'fitting' him into the DCU mainstream.Interesting.... I'm so very familiar with two of the aforementioned DC Comic entities,.. not so much the others.
In fact Etrigan the Demon remains one of my very DC comics (that I am dying to make a live action film)
I heard of Mister Miracle but the title name seemed too corny so I never became interested.
Definitely added to the novelty trying to catch his guaranteed cameo along with hidden post-credit scenes. Better than She-Hulk and talking outside the box to god creator Kevin Feige, that’s for sure. ***?!Is it me, or did the MCU quality mostly start to drop off at Stan Lee's passing? Maybe I'm getting the timing wrong.
