Can't see the image you posted.

I think this is going to be post-Scooby Gang.
Either the image url or part of it may be blocked because it is from a wiki fan page. I will try this one:

46df2590.png

It will definitely be post-Scooby Gang. I doubt any of the original members would care about returning.

Heck, I would not want the guy who played Xander to come back.anyway. That guy is nuts in real life. Not sure how he ever held it together throughout the original Buffy run.

Crap! That image link is bad too. Let me see if I can find one more that will work for everyone...

Maybe this one will work:

Superman: The Movie and Superman II were both better films than Batman v. Superman but they were also different types of movies. If Hackman were 45 to 50 or so years younger, he would need to play Luthor like a scientific genius version of Little Bill Daggett. The way he actually played Luthor in the earlier movies would have been a total mismatch for BvS.

The thing about Spacey is that he is not really a strong method actor. Pick a role. There may be a slight quirk between different roles but he is still basically playing himself. Verbal in The Usual Suspects. Lester Burnham in American Beauty. John Doe in Se7en. Heck. Mel Profit on CBS' Wiseguy so many moons ago.

Great actor but he does not have a wide range. Even his Luthor in Superman Returns is a skin deep veneer of Hackman's earlier rendition, with most of Spacey seeping through it.

There are other choices than Eisenberg but anyone acting like Hackman or Spacey would probably have not been cast. I do not believe Luthor needed a top rung actor also. Billy Zane has been bouncing around inside my head since typing this. And he can rock the bald look too.

Laurie could pull off Luthor's eccentric persona blindfolded. Good pick.

you knew from Kevin Spacey's Lex Luthor and Spacey's usual natural demeanor and style that his Lex was gonna be a smilely, very mellow tone Luthor. i figured that's what the studio wanted a Luther smooth, silky look and demeanor.

And we may have had that bald Lex Luthor preview when we saw him as "Dr. Evil " in Austin Powers' Goldmember ? .... :D

How These Star Wars Characters Would Benefit from a Mature-Content Series
By Blake Hawkins | CBR
August 22, 2022

Vader-Nilhius-and-Revan.jpg

In a world where horror franchises are dominating and mature content is on the rise, it's no surprise that popular franchises are jumping on the mature trend. There's an adult-only Velma (from Scooby-Doo) series, and DC's Joker: Folie à Deux is in the works for 2024. Even Marvel has jumped on the bandwagon. At San Diego Comic-Con 2022, the franchise announced Marvel Zombies, the first Disney+ original series with a TV-MA rating.

All of that has had some fans talking about the possibility of Star Wars entering the realm of mature content, and so far, there hasn't been any progress on that front. When George Lucas created Star Wars, he did it with children as his audience, and thus far the franchise has held true to those marching orders. However, there's no doubt that mature content would help flesh out the horrors of the galaxy far, far away. So, here are some characters that would benefit from their own TV-MA series.

Darth Revan: The Butcher

Thor: Love and Thunder Explodes Onto Disney+ in September
By Germain Lussier | GIZMODE
August 23, 2022

220feb2eb37cb8ce6745d60b4c13501e.jpg

This sentence may have been crazy to imagine just a few short months ago but alas, here it is. If you missed Thor: Love and Thunder in theatres, you’ll get a chance to stream it at home on September 8.

When the summer of 2022 arrived many experts pegged Thor: Love and Thunder as the season’s sure-fire mega-hit. The return of writer-director Taika Waititi, the addition of Christian Bale, and the debut of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster as the Mighty Thor all made it very clear it was going to be one of the films to beat this summer. And yet, upon release, it didn’t quite live up to those expectations. Critics and fans were unexpectedly mixed on the film and while financially it was certainly a hit, it wasn’t the universally beloved MCU entry most had hoped for.

Which is to say, many many people saw the film, but not everyone. And so plenty of interested parties were wondering when the latest Thor film would hit streaming, and now we know: September 8.

Oscars 2023: Best Visual Effects Predictions
By Bill Desowitz | Yahoo! Movies
August 22, 2022

a35bbf842ea5032c3577d36254855796

There’s little doubt about James Cameron’s “Avatar: The Way of Water” (20th Century/Disney) winning the VFX Oscar, even though it doesn’t arrive until December 16. Not when it has the makings of being another industry game changer.

That is, unless it turns out to be a major disappointment. Otherwise, the state of the race will focus on winnowing the other contenders, of which there are several Marvel and DC films, a few sci-fi thrillers, and other assorted action-adventures and fantasies.

On the Marvel side there’s Ryan Coogler’s transformational “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Sam Raimi’s trippy “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” and Taika Waititi’s imaginative “Thor: Love and Thunder,” while DC offers “Matt Reeves’ noirish “The Batman,” the introduction of Dwayne Johnson as the roguish “Black Adam,” and the return of Zachary Levi in “Shazam! Fury of the Gods.” But keep in mind that there hasn’t been a superhero VFX Oscar winner since “Spider-Man 2” in 2004.

In addition, there’s the franchise finale “Jurassic World: Dominion” (Universal), Joseph Kosinski’s high-octane “Top Gun: Maverick” (Paramount), the Daniels’ surprising multiverse of “Everything Everywhere All at Once” (A24), the flipped-out spectacle of Jordan Peele’s “Nope” (Universal), and Baltasar Kormákur’s survival thriller “Beast” (Universal).

5 Actors Who Could Play Wolverine In the MCU
By Daniel Roberts | Inside The Magic
August 24, 2022

hugh-jackman-as-wolverine.jpeg

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe prepares to enter Phase Five with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) early next year (this year’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will end Phase Four), many fans are wondering if they’ll get to see any of the X-Men make an appearance.

While we’ve had a few X-Men teasers in the MCU so far — Charles Xavier/Professor X (Patrick Stewart) in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) and the ending of Disney+ series Ms. Marvel (2022) — no such projects were announced at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

In 2019, however, Marvel boss Kevin Feige told Collider that the MCU would introduce the X-Men, saying “It [X-Men] has been heavily discussed, as you might imagine. And we have a good feeling of where it’s going and when it’s going, but that all remains to be seen.”

It’s hard to believe that the MCU will ignore the X-Men, especially now that they own all the Fox X-Men movies (which are technically now canon following the opening of the Multiverse in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021) and the X-Men cameo in the Doctor Strange sequel).

‘The Batman’ Director Matt Reeves Sets Multi-Year First Look Film Deal At Warner Bros. & Re-Ups With Warner Bros Television
By Mike Fleming Jr. | Deadline
August 23, 2022

Matt-Reeves-WB-FI-logo-1.jpg

EXCLUSIVE: Warner Bros is going all in on The Batman director Matt Reeves and his 6th & Idaho production company. He has become the first filmmaker given an overall first look film deal since Warner Bros Pictures Group Co-Chairs/CEOs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy were hired by Warner Bros. Discovery chief David Zaslav to steer the film division. In addition, Reeves has re-upped with the Warner Bros. Television Group and Chairman Channing Dungey, where he is also working on The Batman spinoff series The Penguin with Colin Farrell.

Reeves and 6th & Idaho had a first look film deal at Netflix. Reeves is spending so much time on film and TV projects relating to The Batman franchise that it made perfect sense for him to call Warner Bros home with the multi-year first look. De Luca and Abdy hope to see him grow into the kind of cornerstone filmmaker that Todd Phillips has been with The Hangover and Joker franchises, and what Clint Eastwood has been forever at the studio.

“Making this legendary studio my home is a dream,” said Reeves in a statement. “I am so excited to be working with Mike, Pam, and Channing and our teams to bring captivating stories I am truly passionate about to the big and small screen.”

Under the terms of the film deal, Warner Bros. Pictures Group’s production divisions – Warner Bros. Pictures, New Line Cinema, Warner Animation Group and DC-based Films – will have first-look rights to Reeves’ work as a writer, director and/or producer. Reeves is currently back at work on the sequel, co-writing with Mattson Tomlin the second installment of a DC resuscitation that drew strong reviews and a global gross north of $770 million. Robert Pattinson is back for the sequel as the title character.

Why HBO Max Seems to Be Canceling Everything
By Tony Maglio | Yahoo! Entertainment
August 23, 2022

c0b10a7e01c612ac1bd837f0a88bc002

At HBO Max, the Bat-folk can’t catch a break. Weeks after the decision to kill the effectively completed straight-to-streaming movie “Batgirl,” HBO Max canceled “Batman: Caped Crusader” and “Merry Little Batman,” among four other animated projects. The good news for these six newly scrapped Warner Bros. Animation projects is they are still full steam ahead in production and being shopped elsewhere, a person with knowledge of the situation told IndieWire — unlike “Batgirl,” which will never see the light of day.

A second source told IndieWire that HBO Max has made the choice to spend some time away from the kids-and-family sandbox. It’s a crowded and expensive field, and HBO Max isn’t a breakout brand for that type of programming. Disney+ and Netflix will vie for the kids’ market, one with no opportunity for ad revenue — both made a pledge to let the programming run commercial free — in the time when AVOD is not only king, but is also the future of the streamers’ plans for revenue growth.

Previous HBO Max overseers Jason Kilar and Ann Sarnoff were so dedicated to building then-WarnerMedia’s streaming portfolio that they released Warners’ entire 2021 slate day-and-date on HBO Max, infuriating theater owners and talent alike. That won’t happen under Zaslav, but these new strategies present a similar-but-different charm offensive.

Production on “Batman: Caped Crusader” is “far along,” the first person who spoke to for this story told us, and it is “business as usual” at animation tables and within edit bays and the voiceover studio. Though HBO Max no longer wants these six projects, it is the sister studio’s prerogative to see production through and pitch them to other networks and streamers. Any landing pad will be outside of the sizable Warner Bros. Discovery umbrella, we’re told. Think: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu.

There's One Big Asterisk On George R. R. Martin Wanting Thrones to Go the Way of Star Wars
By Josh Rosenberg | Esquire
August 23, 2022

The Game of Thrones prequel series, House of the Dragon, is currently hotter than dragon fire. The premiere episode drew in roughly 10 million viewers, shattering the record for the biggest premiere on HBO, ever. The news has the creator of this whole Thrones shindig, George R. R. Martin, a little giddy. The man is ready for Thrones to become a cinematic universe, which, sure! But he can't stop comparing his vision to Star Wars.

Thrilled by his various triumphs, he told the Wall Street Journal that "several" other spin-off shows are currently in development over at HBO. Several! The author added that "we'll have something akin to the Marvel or Star Wars model by the time it’s all settled." Martin also voiced his response to criticisms that his show was too violent earlier this week, telling Vanity Fair that "Star Wars kills more people than I do." Live your truth, George, but a Stormtrooper going bye-bye is a little different than House of the Dragon's childbirth scene.

The fantasy writer is clearly looking to the future during this admittedly well-deserved victory lap. But h has one major problem. The Star Wars extended universe—as we know it today—followed 12 films, multiple animated series, novels, comics, video games, toys, and a fandom dating back to 1977 that mainly markets to children. Martin, meanwhile, has yet to even finish writing the adult series that brought him fame on HBO. His planned novels, The Winds of Winter and A Dream of Spring, have no release date in sight. Furthermore, the controversial ending in Game of Thrones was so universally hated that Martin intends on writing a completely different one in the books. Even if Martin completed his final novels in A Song of Ice and Fire, it still wouldn't exactly be new material to adapt. Game of Thrones needs entirely new stories and its creator is still playing catch-up.

Captain Marvel vs. The Boys' Homelander Would Be An Absolute Slaughter
By Liam Mcguire | Screen Rant
August 23. 2022

The-Boys-Homelander-vs-Captain-Marvel.jpg

If Captain Marvel from Marvel Comics and Homelander from The Boys ever got into a fight, it would be an absolute slaughter for one of the Supes: Carol Danvers. While Homelander is considered one of the most powerful superpowered beings in his universe, against Captain Marvel, the leader of the Seven wouldn't stand much of a chance, as the Marvel hero would destroy him without much effort.

Homelander is The Boys parody of Superman, but unlike the Man of Steel, the Supe is evil and uses his immense powers to keep the members of the Seven fearful of what he could do if he ever stepped out of line. With heat vision, superhuman strength, durability, speed, hearing, and X-Ray vision, Homelander is the worst-case scenario for Superman, albeit under the control of a corporation pretending he's Earth's mightiest hero. Meanwhile, Captain Marvel, thanks to her human/Kree physiology, has several superhuman powers, with her most impressive ability being her power of energy manipulation and absorption. In a fight between the two characters from different universes, it's hard to imagine a scenario where Captain Marvel doesn't come out victorious.

When it comes to a one-on-one fight between Homelander and Captain Marvel, the Marvel Comics hero's most significant advantage is her durability. In the comics, Captain Marvel has been able to take on blasts from Thanos and survive. Carol Danvers has also taken hits from some of the most powerful characters in existence, including her fellow Avengers, Nuclear Man, Hulk, and more. Yet, time and time again, she withstands them thanks to her powers. Meanwhile, Homelander doesn't have a character on his level in The Boys comics except for Black Noir, who brutally kills the hero when he's fully unleashed. All of his greatest battles are made up as PR. To settle things beyond any doubt, Homelanders creators confirm that a nuclear bomb would easily kill him, while Marvel lore states Captain Marvel wouldn't just survive such a blast, but turn it into her own power.

My guess is that Keery's hair in Stranger Things looks KINDA LIKE Logan's but that is the only thing connection I can think of that made the writer make him as a viable choice. Then again, I was not sold on Pattinson before The Batman but he changed my mind.

~thinks more about it~ nah. I just do not see it in Keery.

Pattinson had the Batsuit to help him tremendously, and even at that, they had to make it so his neck would look thicker. Now if you asked me if he could play Feral........
