Commanders agree to terms on deal for Taylor

Please you're making too much sense, some folks on the board might not realize giving up a 2nd round pick for a pro bowl player isn't a bad idea...
I wonder how many in here wouldn't give up a 2nd if we lost a player?

Let's say we did not improve WR and Crayton were to go down. You wouldn't offer a 2nd round pick for a guy who actually is an upgrade to Crayton?

I would. Every time. I hate the Skins as much as anyone, but I can spot a good move when it's as obvious as the nose on my face.

Says the guy who doesn't think Hudson Houck improves our OL enough to get excited about.

Dude, you are such a hypocrite.

If anything-the Eagles SHOULD have traded a disgruntled Lito to Miami for Taylor, 'cuz they need another pass rushing DE opposite Cole.

And for that matter too-Philly made another blunder move by pouring out $$$$ for a system corner.

We can laugh at the Skins all we want, but this move on their part wasn't bad at all, at least compared to what many other teams did this offseason.

Amen... Like I stated earlier, if he was a Cowboy the board would be doing cartwheels.

Truth be told I think Parcells screwed his team by getting rid of one of his best defenders.

I'll also admit that makes me laugh a little.

But the OBVIOUS difference is the situation the two teams are in. One is considered the NFC favorite to go to the Super Bowl. The other is unanimously picked to finish last in their division.

The difference being that I can applaud a good football move when it is made and you can only applaud a Commanders move.

Don't pat yourself on the back on this one. You got lucky to be agreeing with me because you don't know squat about football.

memo to self: knock the Cowboys and their fans, and will get along swimmingly w/ bbgun

This has nothing to do with ingratiating myself with so-called Dallas fans; this has everything to do with you being incapable of paying Snyder a well-deserved compliment. Like Jerry, he will pay any price and bear any burden to win. That's what makes them great owners, wins and losses notwithstanding. You admitted the trade made sense, but then called Snyder a "reactionary prick." That's bizarre even for you. Was Jerry a "reactionary prick" for signing Deion or Kosar after key injuries befell the team?

don't you hold the CZ record for most banishments?

Fear not; you'll catch up in no time.

I'd rather be unobjectionable, than feign it to harass Cowboy fans and lift myself up on a moral pedestal

Oh, believe me, you're very objectionable. The word you were grasping for is "objective," and no one would ever accuse you of being that. Hos needs to add a chapter about pro-Dallas trolls who ratchet up hatred for this team with their classless posts. Be sure to send him your best 8x10 head shot.

the difference is that we might not have to do this kind of move if our receivers we've been developing to step into such roles, pay off

it's just wierd that it takes an injury to Phillip Daniels for them to acquire Jason Taylor

they should have done it much sooner

Take Zack Thomas and Jason Taylor off the Miami D and they can start making plans with that top 5 draft pick next year.

I'd make the trade no matter what the prospects for my team were. Jason Taylor is a hell of a football player. Their young DEs can learn from him.

so you expect Commander fans to pay Jerry Jones a compliment? what world are you living in?

Daniel Snyder is not a great owner, he seems more concerned w/ earning money, if he cared so much about winning, he'd learn how to friggin manage a team

and yes, at one time Jerry Jones didn't know how to run a team, at least in the salary cap era, but back then signing players was how you won games, trading and signing doesn't win you many games anymore, drafting does, and building up your roster w/ quality depth, something Danny still doesn't comprehend, he's still trading for vets in the twilight of their careers even though his team isn't nearly ready to compete for a ring

Jerry knows what he's doing now, Danny doesn't

I've personally invited Commander, Dallas hate?

wow, you will use any tact, no matter how stupid it sounds

we are one of the top teams in the NFL, this is the time to be pro-Dallas

Phil Daniels is nothing more than a career serviceable backup. He was like that in Chicago, and ditto during Gibbs' tenure.

I'm shocked he's still on the team.

If his back is healed, you're absolutely right. If it's not better, they got a decent pass rusher who you can run over all day long. Time will tell.

His cap number was outrageous. My gut tells me the Skins HAVE to rework his deal or someone else's to make this work. I wonder if they'll extend the 33 year old...
