Let's say we did not improve WR and Crayton were to go down. You wouldn't offer a 2nd round pick for a guy who actually is an upgrade to Crayton?

I'd make the trade no matter what the prospects for my team were. Jason Taylor is a hell of a football player. Their young DEs can learn from him.

Take Zack Thomas and Jason Taylor off the Miami D and they can start making plans with that top 5 draft pick next year.

Just for the sake of argument-if the Skins signed Zack Thomas this offseason, we all at CZ would be making joke after joke how MB3 would bulldoze him and give him another migrane.

Remember how all offseaon how WE did cartwheels over getting Zack.

Either way-Jason is a good move on the Skins' part, and Zack likewise to us. They made be getting older, but they're still heck of players and provide tons of leadership.

Didn't we do the same with Deion when Kevin Smith went down?

While injuries are part of the game, they are nonetheless probably the most gut-wrenching thing to happen to any fan. If anything-considering the Skins were acting out of desperation, they really didn't give up THAT much, in comparison.

I think that remains to be seen. He may struggle in their system. He may be the missing ingredient to an already decent (not great) Defense.

I agree with Taylor being a player but the Skins IMO made a dumb*** move because they wont even come close to the playoffs. How much desire does he have left? If they suck this season (which they will) it was a waste of decent draft choice. Just to much risk to put into a 34 year old who might or might not have a lot of desire.

He's definitely an upgrade for them, but its still a deal they didn't want to do until the injury to Daniels. I would have been a lot more concerned had the eagles or giants had gotten him though.
