Commanders Sign T. Vincent

It cracks me up. Like, when guys like Vincent are released, I know there's gonna be a thread on here, wondering if the Cowboys should pick them up. Except, Snyder actually acts on this. But, as we've been told many times, Gibbs is in full control. Maybe this one snuck by him. The Chase for the Cup is in full swing, his interests are all over the board, right? He can't be blamed if his team went and picked up an older, worse Adam Archuletta for no apparent reason.

Maybe he doesn't know Tony Stewart didn't make the cut...lol.

I really don't see a fault in the skins signing him. They're secondary is woeful right now, and they need help with the injuries. Might as well sign a heady vet who the coaching staff knows.

>cough Aaron Glenn/Marcus Coleman cough<

I think it's a pretty good move. They obviously need secondary help, and having Vincent there won't hurt.

But they have the all-mighty Sean Taylor who is more intersted in the big hit than the tackle/penalty and a second rate safety in Adam Archuleta who got his name because he won a superbowl. With those two safeties they should dominate the entire league.

Hey DANIEL!

It is fun to bash the skins.

However, since Snyder took over, he's turned them into the most valuable NFL franchise.

Also, in case folks forgot, his team went deep in the playoffs last year while we were licking our wounds. We can make fun all we want, but they've certainly had more success than us recently.

That's true, and that's what pisses me off.

And as the Book of Forum etiquette, Volume 3, page 365 states;

"If another team finishes with a better record than the team you are a fan of, you are precluded from criticising said team with better record, until your team finishes with a superior record."

As in last year, yep...They were 10-6 and we were 9-7.

Thats about it...and they are 2-4 this year...

So just quit sticking up for them, its too much fun to bash those clods.

That is ONLY because of their stadium.

Snyder has ruined that team. He overpaid for the team and overpays for the players. He thinks spending money = instant success. He has the most expensive roster and the most expensive coaches and they can't win.

Remember the sheer dread in the off-season when it looked like the CBA would fall through? There were discussions about the team having to cut 20 players to get under the cap.

He has completely leveraged their team's future to try to win now. And they aren't winning.

He just signed Troy Vincent, another failed move.

The state of the Skins is completely attributable to Danny Snyder. He is trying to run the Skins like Steinbrenner runs the Yankees. There is a major difference between the Skins in the NFL and the Yankees in the MLB. But idiot Snyder doesn't realize that.

He got a new stadium and that boosted the value of the Commanders. He also started buying up local radio stations, websites among other things. Problem is that usually turns out bad in the end. Just another bubbling idiot mistake on his part. Of course the Cowboys are #3 on the list of most valuable franchise and they are the only team up there that doesn't have a new stadium. Until 2009 when they will not only become #1, but blow the skins value completely out of the water. I expect the Cowboys value to shoot above $2 billion.

Didn't he also raise the Commanders ticket prices above all other teams in the NFL? Good job DANIEL! :p:

Little Danny is the debil.

Well, not really.

More like a little evil imp or something.

The thing that cracks me up is Vincent maybe a better player in coverage than archuletta, archuletta is way too aggressive and he doesnt have the speed to make up for his mistakes.

I mean all safeties get beat, like yesterday ed reed cost the ravens when he got roasted by steve smith. you wont see anyone complaining about reed though.

To me the problem with the Commanders is still the quarterback and the horizontal passing game. Everyone talks about our quarterback tirelessly in the media, but they never bring up brunnell. It is baffling to me.

Oh and gibbs record is now 19-21.

I think hey will bounce back but if they get to 8 losses it is over for them, as it will be us if we get to 8 losses.

Brilliant analysis. Guy hasn't played a down yet and its a failed move.

Excuse me for trying to bring some rationality to this thread -- statements like those above make it clear that it is far too late for that.
