Commanders Sign T. Vincent

Yes, exactely....for the worse run franchise ever! This is just another free agent knowing JUST WHERE the cash cow is...that's all!

Like I have said before, there HAS TO BE some sort of clique in the NFL among players and coaches alike...that if you are at the end of your deal...give Snyder a call! You need some BIG cash quick...call Snyder and you ARE IN! Especially if you have a name behind you. It dosen't matter how hurt you are, or how old you are...if you have a name that he recognizes from his youth...the money is yours! Deion hooked himself up with about 8 mill, IIRC...!

If he wanted a "cash cow" he would have simply stayed on IR in Buffalo. You say this with no knowledge of what he received from Washington -- likely minimum money. They do stupid stuff in DC but this move really is about a team signing a cheap vet to fill in. Nothing more.

I don't know why, and maybe I should be shot for this, but I agree with ab on this one....

They signed Vincent to try to catch lightning in a bottle and bolster their secondary. To what degree that happens by this move is marginal and debatable, but I doubt they've broken the bank to sign a guy who was on IR. He's probably going to be cut after the season anyway, since that's how they treat most of their players. Their secondary has been undeniably bad, so I don't see how this move is a complete failure yet.

I know we all want it to fail, but can't fault them for trying... if they thought that Vincent could help them, that's their decision. They'll probably sign Buchanon too, or make a run at him at least. We can want that to fail too, but I wouldn't call it a failure from the get-go.

I agree...with you...

I'm not really concerned about it...if that's how they get players...let the RedStinks try it!

No big deal, anyway...
;)

What idiots the Commanders are. Didn't Troy Vincent's release have something to do with an past injury? :lmao2:

this is the same team that traded a 1st day pick for TJ Duckett when Portis got hurt, despite already having a good backup in Betts, we're talking about here

talk about a team who overreacts

It is fun to bash the skins.

However, since Snyder took over, he's turned them into the most valuable NFL franchise.

Also, in case folks forgot, his team went deep in the playoffs last year while we were licking our wounds. We can make fun all we want, but they've certainly had more success than us recently.

:jerk: and yesterday they got beat by the winless Titans, who we happened to destroy, not to mention they're 0-1 against us

Do any of you REALLY believe that a pro team would sign a player who wasn't physically able to play?

we did it to Jacob Rogers

and physicals vary from team to team

btw, what role is Vincent going to have in Washington?

he'll probably only be a nickel safety at best

but I hope he starts over Archuleta ;)

Rogers was able to play when he got here. Not well enough but he really didn't miss time with injury his 1st year

that doesnt deny the fact that they wouldnt have signed him if they didnt think he could play. Although teams have different physicals, there not going to let someone is unfit to play sign with the team. Plain and simple.
