Yep...Roy is probably the best SS there is in the league...but guess what he is a Cowboy, it is fun to make rivalries out of anything. Sean Taylor is probably one of the best FS in the league and an up and coming star.

If by "star" you mean "convicted felon", then I agree.

Thats just the point, an "up and coming star". To bad Roy already is one, darn it. lol Commander fans are priceless, and I mean worth nothing.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain how such as great player as Taylor can have so few big plays.

haha, taylor hits harder than roy??? please, i remember him getting hit hard by some nameless running back back in college, it was so funny, the guy just ran his over and jumped over him and proceeded to score a td. Oh, and roy you say??? well he has one of the best plays OF ALL TIME in college history against my longhorns(and it does hurt to admit that!) so, when i see something in ANY lever about sean taylor having a "game changing performance" and him not being ran over, ill start to agree that he is even close

This statement just goes to show how little you actually know about the Cowboys current roster composition. Almost every player on the 53 man squad is known for being a blue collar, hard working, high character guy.

Specifically known for character just off the top of my head and a few remarks about some of them:

*Bledsoe (Tough and good team leader)
*Tony Romo
*Drew Henson
*Lousaka Polite (First and only 3 time team captain in U of Pitt history)
*Marion Barber (Team captain and Parcells particularly spoke about his character when he drafted him)
*Julius Jones
*Rob Petitti (won starting job as a rookie because Parcells said he was an extrememly hard worker and smart)
*Al Johnson (Team captain as a senior)
*Larry Allen
*Marco Rivera
*Andre Gurode (Parcells keeps him around because of his work ethic)
*Steven Peterman
*Torrin Tucker (when asked why he was still on the roster, Parcells said it was because he was such a good kid)
*Marc Columbo
*Dan Campbell (his toughness and work ethic are well known)
*Jason Witten (Tough, mature and loves the game)
*Sean Ryan (Parcells said he drafted him because of his character and toughness)
*Patrick Crayton (Team captain and loved by Parcells for his toughness)
*Terrence Copper
*Aaron Glenn (Parcells has loved him since he coached him with the Jets)
*Terence Newman (Parcells first draft pick in Dallas, Newman was known as a hard worker who loves to play the game. Character pick all the way.)
*Anthony Henry (brought to Dallas in part because of his quiet, hard working demeanor)
*Roy Williams (Finalist for the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Known for his high character)
*Keith Davis
*Chris Canty (All academic ACC honors)
*Marcus Spears
*Greg Ellis (Team captain at NC)
*LaRoi Glover
*Jason Ferguson (Loved by his teammates and the Jets tried desperately to keep him... in part because of what he brought to the locker room)
*Bradie James (academic all american at LSU)
*DeMarcus Ware (Troy Team Captain and He also earned leadership honors from the team.)
*Scott Fujita (first-team Academic All-Pac 10 choice as a senior)
*Scott Shanle (a two-year member of Nebraska's Unity Council)
*Ryan Fowler (Two time team captain and all academic ACC honors)
*Kevin Burnett (first two time team captain at Tenn in almost 100 years. Was a member of the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2002 and 2003 and the SEC and American Football Coaches Association Good Works teams in 2003.)
*Lynn Scott

And I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

Even the couple of players that have had some sort of low character moments in their careers like Keyshawn Johnson and Terry Glenn have been model citizens since coming to Dallas.

Have you watched any of our games? Have you seen Keyshawn or Glenn do any extravagant celebrations after TD's? Anything to draw attention to themselves and away from the team? No. When they make a catch or a TD, they just toss the ball back to the ref and hug their teammates.

Have you seen Keyshawn block? Since coming to Dallas, he has really won me over as probably the toughest WR that I've ever seen.

Celebrations after sacks? Very little if any. This is a no nonsense team if I've ever seen one. That's one of the things I'm most proud about this team. They are pretty much one and all a quality group of people.

And that isn't by accident. That's the type of team Parcells has put together.

You're living in the past if you want to critisize Dallas for low character.

Learn what you're talking about before you speak.

Even more telling than the current roster is to look at who Parcells dumped. Quincy Carter (Drug Problem) Antonio Bryant (General Attitude) Troy Hambrick (Attitude) etc etc.

I always get a kick out of non-Cowboys fans who bring up the antics of a few Cowboys in the 90’s and then claim the team is nothing but a bunch of felons and criminals who shouldn’t be running around loose in a free society. How bad must their envy be to tear apart a truly dominant team all the while ignoring the character of Aikman, Smith, Woodson, etc. Commander fans would have killed to have fielded the Cowboys of the early 90’s. Hell they would probably kill to field half of this team this year.

Yes, they beat the Cowboys in the final 4 minutes this year. Does that really equate to them being a better team? Never mind that the offensive play calling was conservative at best, that the game plan was to control the clock and let the defense bring it home. Point the finger at whomever you want to, Glenn or Williams it doesn’t matter. They beat them on that day. One win does not determine superiority. Neither can Cowboys fans point to the 14 out of 16 history; both clubs are fielding vastly improved teams this year. Pride in your team is one thing, but ignorance about all things football is quite another. This argument is pointless. You are comparing two different positions. Kind of like comparing Polite to Portis. I mean they both line up in the backfield don’t they?

The best thing about this game is that for the first time 20+ years it means something. When the Boys beat them on the Sunday, and they should beat them like a red headed step child, how great is it going to be as a Cowboy fan to know that the Cowboys knocked the Skins out of the playoffs? That is all the gloating I will need.

Of course, the Skins fans will have the comforting knowledge that their coach will find some more game tape to send in to the league. Somebody needs to remind Gibbs that the NFL is not NASCAR. Whining has been perfected to an art form on the circle track, but in the NFL when you whine you just come across as sore loser. Shouldn’t be much longer when the name “Gibbs” is associated with complaining. Such as telling your 5 yr old to quit Gibbsing on his sister, instead of telling him to quit tattling.

Before the first game they were saying all they really care about is beating Dallas. They do not care if they do not win another game all year if they just beat Dallas. Well they did beat us on 2 very good deep passes. (Very good plays) Then they automatically start talking about winning the Super Bowl, beating Dallas one game does not mean they are ready for the Super Bowl.

Three things that will come out of this game on Sunday for sure.
1. Cowboys will win.
2. Foreskins are NOT going to the Super bowl
3. Gibbs will refuse to be a man and shake hands and will be sending tape to the league on Monday.

Those are the facts, beleive it or not. The foreskins fans with their rose colored glasses are the biggest homers in the world. They still will not win.
You can give the credit last time to Santana Moss (good play) or blame whoever you want on Dallas. Does not change the outcome but I do know that this is the Foreskins "Super Bowl" and they will not win.

I give credit to Gibbs and the foreskins they have improved some over last years team but they are still not a good team and have a long way to go.
The Cowboys are further along on in building a good team than the foreskins. Curly

all i know is this, if we cant beat the skins, we dont deserve to go to the playoffs, of all the teams scrambling to get in the playoffs, the Skins imo are the weakest. i expect the Boys to go up there and get this W.

Joe Gibbs is like the kid that starts a fight on the way home after school with a kid, gets beat up, then goes home and tells his parents to go to the school to get the kid who beat him up suspended.

Oh and please show me one stat that ST is better then RW at, please.

funny how dallas fans all of a sudden care about 'character'. when you hear that, it's a sure sign they are reaching.

Interesting... the rap sheet on former and CURRENT Commanders doesn't fare to well itself...

well, then he must suck cuz you havent seen him play.

skinsandterps was right- there are some humorous comments here. most funny is to hear cowboy fans arguing with skins fans over whose fault the 2 moss passes were. i guess since both were the CB's fault, the skins should run those plays sunday. pretty smart leaving moss in one on one coverage. you do realize that all that matters is that moss burned the boys and we won the game.

also funny is to hear cowboy fans talking about the character of the team. and you are right- the boys are angels these days. current players anyhow. from what i understand, williams is a nice guy- i'd defend him too. just sayin that people who arent skins fans say he's overrated. even cowboy fans on this site have said so.

I think it's funny to see the Skin's fans completely ignore post by Adam and Myself when they get too detailed to refute, while instead saying classic lines like...

"Sean does everything Roy does and can cover", which as pointed out by being 32nd in the league at giving up runs of 10 or more yards, he clearly doesn't.

But whatever... I can understand how it could be confusing to fans that don't really understand the game how two positions with the word "satety" in them could in fact be different posistions. Next we can discuss how Jon Janen is a better Tackle than Chris Canty and how Portis is a better Back than Polite.

next...

my point is that taylor in his second year is better than williams. bringing up 2 plays from taylors rookie season while ignoring williams chokes only solidifies my point.

thanks for the avatar, btw.

look at the 2's stats

you're just going by coverage ability, and both have been getting burned this year

you have no case
