I'd like to see Dak with Coopers gameplan.

Will Dak stick to that game plan or will he audible out to prove to everyone that he's the #1?

At this point, it doesn't matter because at this point, he still can't grip the ball, right?

He will if his OC and MM have any balls to rein him in...

the TEAM becomes pumpkin ion the playoffs, shall we forget 14 penalties (had zero effect on teh offense huh), bad play calls, bad execution, etc etc et defense allowing the run game to control the game , defense allowing the offense to score on the first 4 drives Those are acceptable as long as we call out Dak huh, daks supposed to overcome poor team play now? ..lmao

can we ban fans ?? i wish we could...:huh:;)
You know the deal….since Dak makes big money people expect him to overcome the shortcomings of those around him like very few QBs can….and even that is only sometimes.

He doesn’t need Pro Bowlers at every position around him, but then again he isn’t elite…..he just needs to be used correctly, and something between what we are doing right now and the usual Moore pass fest would seem to be what we need…..especially when they aren’t the dominant unit on the team.

Hopefully it all comes together when Dak returns, and maybe this year we peak at the right time.

They will not throw Dak back at the Eagles.

The Eagles got no shot in this game. It's written in stone. The Dallas "D" is going to play their Azz off just to see where the rubber meets the road.

Yes, Dallas needs Dak but, Its going to be the Lions.

Then we shall see where we stand. You would have to be crazy as a coach to throw Dak back

You know that Ranching. He needs a week to be claimed as the starter and reps. He has been off what, 4 or 5 weeks?

Go look hard at the Eagles. They
don't scare me!

Yes, they are 5-0 but just barely. Lions,Jags,Cards?

I know, if Copper beats the Eagles then
here, we go but, people that know what their doing will see different.

So that fact that he had a piss poor defense doesn't mean anything? Figures....those that don't like him have blinders on...

Who said anything about anything other than his play?

I grade him on how well he has played the position. Did he make good decisions? good throws?

Led the league in yards and offense....he must have done something right.

Surely a coach can evaluate an individual players performance in each game. There are clearly deficiencies in his individual performance because nobody has these discussions about whether the backup is better option if Cooper Rush is backing up Mahomes, Rodgers, Allen, Brady, etc..

A Cooper saved Dak's career once upon a time, now another Cooper will end it.

It has been written in the stars. It's poetic.
Cooper threw for just over 100 yards against the Rams. A lot around him has to be going right in order to win a game like that. Dak may have played his worst game as a pro against Tampa and he still had more yards passing than that and no Gallup.

Dak will get devoured by the Lions, then there will be wailing and knashing of teeth amongst the Prescott Cowboy fans.

And these aren't even moving targets.

Fans will question any qb when the backup goes 4-0....those with n objective and educated eye know better....I'm not saying Rush is bad, he's played very well. Dak is just better. That's all

...and my guess is your opinion is about as valuable as his....which is nothing....so go comment elsewhere to 'enrich' your day.
You could have simply ignored the thread or even not commented.

But.. but.. but.. Coach the last 2 games we've seen Dak he's looked awful, had trash thrown at him and was booed off the field at a home game...what does the educated eye has to say about these things?

If you think the offense we’ve had the past four games that ranks 27th in the league with a QB who put up 102 yards off of 8 completions with no TDs last week is going to end Dak’s career you’re really lost. Lol

I like this offense MUCH better than the 3 points the Dak led offense put up for us Week 1.

This offense ends games with more points than the opponents.

Do you like wins or do you like pretty stats instead?

That fans are reactionary and are having fun. Fans are fans and entitled to their opinions....I'm a fan and I'm entitled to mine as well.

Don't agree with that first statement. But the root issue isn't Rush vs Dak it's that the issues with Dak's game have been there his entire career. Early on fans are optimistic and gloss over issues. Over time fans become less interested in what the player "could be" or "occasionally is" and realize what they "are" maybe isn't good enough.

That's where he is in his career now. His only salvation is his individual play. Does the team win because of him, in spite of him or at the same rate they could win with "insert name here"?

I had a very similar situation as a coach.....unfortunately, I'm not allowed to share it....but, I will say this. Dak is the starter for a reason, when he is 100% or at least close to it, he needs to be on the field. Rush has done a great job and KM has too. My hope is that KM learned that he doesn't need for Dak to throw 70% of the time. I hope that Dak has learned to be patient and not check into passing plays as much. I feel that he is constantly trying to justify his contract...he needs to wipe his butt with his haters and just play football.
Very good post. I too feel he is trying to "earn" his contract and putting too much stress on himself to do so. I don't think it's any lingering injury, and I didn't think it was one last year. In my opinion, a lot of his problems are between the ears, which I'm sure you know can be as bad as a physical injury.

As far as the haters go, the vast majority go away when he plays well. I know we have a crowd here that doesn't , but overall I think most folks just wanna win. When you earn that kind of money playing arguably the most high profile position in sports, that puts a bullseye on you. Whether fair or not. I don't think an "I told you so" would go over very well if he plays lights out. I think he needs to act like he's been there before, like a Novacek or Barry Sanders.

Just my two cents.
