I think it's fairly obvious they don't want Dak to come back against a good opponent. Not good for business. Let Rush take the loss and Dak come in to salvage what's left. But I think we all knew this was going to happen.

Dak and KM needs to go back and watch what happened to Romo in 2014 and learn from it. Romo played like crap in the first game vs SF chucking the ball around. He threw 3 INTs and only 1 TD on 37 attempts. He dialed it back rest of the season leaning on the run and only had one other game where he threw for 35+. He ended up having his best season going 12-4 and winning his first playoff game.

That makes no sense. If Dak is ready, they would want him to play against the better team. More so than against a lesser team since they know they can win against a lesser team with less offense.

Ive tried this approach literally saying Rush is playing very well for who he is and thats huge for us, but its very easy to see his Arm allows seams and crosses..we can not throw an out with confidence right now and that tight route tree is affecting our offense...Apparently any real football knowledge is not wanted in the "Rush is better than Dak" debate. Why is saying that our QB2 has some limitations that QB1 does not have mean you hate Rush...its crazy. But hey these same people will tell you its Dak thats is calling shotgun all day and literally trashing KM's scheme...again thats not even a thought if you have ever played any organized football, TB12 doesnt just trash the OC's gameplan because he wants to..just crazy.

They both possess abilities the other lacks, but Rush lacks more. To think otherwise is silly. Rush is doing a good job, mostly because he stays within himself.

I had a very similar situation as a coach.....unfortunately, I'm not allowed to share it....but, I will say this. Dak is the starter for a reason, when he is 100% or at least close to it, he needs to be on the field. Rush has done a great job and KM has too. My hope is that KM learned that he doesn't need for Dak to throw 70% of the time. I hope that Dak has learned to be patient and not check into passing plays as much. I feel that he is constantly trying to justify his contract...he needs to wipe his butt with his haters and just play football.

I think you described it well. KM commiting to run. As well as Dak trusting his OL and RB and understanding why running even if doesn't gain the expected yards is still a good thing. That conversation needs to happen during the week. His first intuition based on what gets taught to QBs is to change play when they see a certain front, in this case see a front to stop the run so change play to pass.....

Dak is more athletic and in football terms sexier then Cooper Rush. I'm not convinced in QB ability between the two is very much. The problem is Dak's contract. The Cowboys have no way out. In my opinion you keep playing Cooper Rush, which will in turn force Dak to waive the trade clause and you find a team willing to eat some of his salary. Will it happen? We will see.
