Cooper Rush doesn't have one redeeming quality

He makes Dak fans real mad every time he wins.

Thats the only quality he needs.
I am a Dak fan and I love to see Cooper Rush win, because I am a Cowboys fan that wants the team to win regardless who is at quarterback.

The mistake you make is assuming every Dak fan is as obsessed with being "right" about him as you are.

I'm not talking years ago, I'm talking the current team. Dak's team in 2016 was friggen loaded, with the NFL's rushing leader, kick butt oline, good receivers, he had it all, that is why he achieved what he did, then as the years wore on, he became injured and broken, physically and mentally.
Now remind us all how the team around him played throughout the years when they were "injured and broken, physically and mentally"... especially in the playoffs.

Yesterday showed if the entire team plays well, we have a shot. No matter who's at qb.

Dak fans aren't Cowboys fans.

Eagles, Ginats, and Commander fans are Dak fans.

This will be the million dollar question for Dak when he gets back. What physical capabilities does he have to tip the balance of competitiveness on the field in favour of the Cowboys.

I want to see what he is going to be with that medically repaired right leg. If he can be great, then that is fabulous. But I feel this upcoming year he has to prove a lot.
Right, his major injuries are lower body injuries, and it's had an effect already. Wonder if it affects Dak's mechanics also.

I am a Dak fan because he is a Cowboy. Period. I wouldn't expect you to understand.

Man, it's hilarious how Dak haters let this guy dominate their thoughts every single day. He's just a quarterback of a football team. Get over yourselves already. :lmao:

You're a fan of someone who has the worst playoff record ever for a QB with 5 playoff starts?

Why would you want that on your team?

You know who wants that person on the Cowboys? Eagles, Giants, and Commander fans.

the cowboys won....but if you don't take a look at how they won, then you are going to miss the forest because of the trees
That's interesting because we never trailed after Rush threw touchdown #1 to make it 10-9 or touchdown #2 to make it 20-9 with 5:16 left in the game.. What I didn't see was Rush do anything wrong in those last 5 minutes because the offense only had the ball once and ran it twice and Rush wisely took a sack (something Dak needs to learn) to force Washington to use its last timeouts and run the clock down to 40 seconds left with a 7 point lead. Other than that it was really a battle between the defense trying to give it away and special teams taking it back. Anything at that point would have been on the defense, not Rush.

What trees did you hit on the way to that forest?

Not saying he is the best backup in the league, but he sure as heck was not part of the problem yesterday.

Dak Dak Dak Dak Dak :lmao:

You mentioned “ fumbled snaps “. Those snaps were so high he looked like Luka Doncic going for a rebound . Snaps weren’t Coopers issue . Nice try .

Might be the most undeserving player in the NFL.

He does nothing outstanding he can’t move. He has no arm strength. He throws pop flies. He has no emotion. The fans are not clamoring for him like most fan base is clamor for a back up quarterback.

The fan base wants to see the third string quarterback, not him playing/ he does nothing to help the organization moving forward.

There’s really no upside to him even being on the roster he’s completely overpaid.

He was awful in that game yesterday fumbling snaps, terrible decisions weak throws behind the receiver, missing wide open targets.

Not playing Trey Lance a guy that you gave up a fourth round pick for and just riding with a clipboard is beyond asinine. This is the time to see if this guy can actually be a serviceable roster player.

Rush is a guy that was released and played for the Giants and somehow found his way back to Dallas.

Again, he adds nothing to the football team.

If he throws five touchdowns on Thursday, it still means nothing he is neither of the present or the future.
Tell me you hate gingers without telling me you hate gingers.

Yes the defense and special teams at the end.... when was last time washington.scored 3 at the half? Plenty of time we scored 3 at the half or there abouts...

And in the end 10-9 because they missed a PAT...and same when it was 27-26 when they missed a PAT...

So the defense and special teams were main reasons for the win. Two special teams TDs...

And on top our running game but then again we played against the worst run defense. Credit to MM for actually running the ball which made passing game easier.

This was Rush being bus driver and just leaning on his teammates and that's exactly what you want in your backup QB.

He looks good against lower e Elon teams and at garbage time

Now some are trying to gatekeep who can be considered a true Cowboys fan, by insisting that all Cowboys fans must share the negative views Dak critics have about Dak.

Wow so many people are bashing Cooper Rush! I thought he was washed up after losing to the Eagles and Texans but after yesterday's game, he is showing he still has something left. Of course he is limited, he's the same QB he's always been. But as a backup QB, his job is to win enough games to keep the team afloat for when the starter returns. It doesn't matter how it looks, as long as he does enough to manage the game. When you're the backup, there are no style points...just get the W.

If a starter misses a month then you would hope the backup can go at least 2-2 to keep them in the hunt and that's what Rush has shown capable of doing. If the starter misses the entire year then of course someone like Rush is not going to save the season (very few teams have backup QBs capable of doing that).

Rush is not supposed to be the present or the future of any team. Even if he sucks, based on his role and his contract, he is not even close to being any type of problem worth anyone's blame. If we're keeping it real, over the last 2 years, Rush is probably high on the list of players who have met or exceeded expectations.

I disagree, he's the present. He has a good arm and he's a smart guy. If he had a great arm and mobility too, he wouldn't be a back up.

So many clowns mad we won with Rush ,who is not good, but did more with less than their savior …. imagine being mad your so called favorite team lost. I loved when we played awful teams and Dak feasted because we would win.

Dak over Dallas fans are the worst.

This is an unhinged rant about a backup QB that is doing exactly what a backup QB is supposed to do, and he's what 6-3 while doing it. That seems like the most important quality you want in your backup QB. As far as fumbled snaps, might want to ask your rookie C to figure it out, because he seemed to be struggling with that. Good luck finding and all-pro backup that meets the standards of a 10 year starter.

I like Rush, he has some skills, seems to read defenses fairly well and doesn't panic in the pocket, but that's about it.

McCarthy dumbed down the offense for Rush, and the defense stepped up big time. Two biggest reasons for the win.

Would also note the comment by the announcer during the game that Rush was never pressured the entire game, people who blame Dak for everything need to go back and review Dak's games, he had pressure in his face probably 50% of his pass attempts.

Put the same pressure on Rush and you'd have Dak 2.0.

Dallas' problems certainly include Dak, but this win may very well turn out to be fool's gold.

We'll see when the Bengals, Bucs and Eagles come to play...
Where was this reported? I am willing to bet Rush understands this offense better than Dak and I am willing to bet he isn't confused by the post snap read like Dak (self admitted). Did they have to scale it back because of his limited arm? I'd say there is a good chance they're not running deeper routes, but it's not "dumbed down".
