He wont take the job w/o an established QB - so that means Bradford would stay.

Hahahaha he's not even signed yet they can't just go "yes Tom were gonna hold a gun to his head and make him sign don't you worry"

All these fans who would want Coughlin over Garrett would be complaining nonstop after retaining a coach that went 9-7, 7-9, 6-10 and 6-10 the last 4 seasons

Yeah, they'd really be complaining about those 2 Superbowl titles and 8 playoff wins over the same period that we have been wasting our time with Garrett. For sures.

Yeah, they would. Have you seen this forum?

Or better yet, look at the Giants forums this past season and you will get your answer.

Considering the amount of talent Kelly let go, they are a lot further than they think. They need to revamp almost the entire O Line.

Yes, they have horrible corners, a question at QB and possibly the worst receiving core in the league.

This is a horrible hire for the Eagles if true and they will be looking for another coach within 3 years. I would much rather they hire a coach that is on his way out than invest in a young coach that could turn that franchise around.

Garrett owns Coughlin as a head coach with a 7-4 record.
Coughlin was a great coach but he is no better a fit for the Eagles than a Bill Parcells or Joe Gibbs, the game has passed him by.

A lot of giants fans wanted him out just as much as we want Garrett out. I would much rather the Eagles sign Coughlin than roll the dice on a young, innovative coordinator from an excellent coaching tree. Coughlin has no future and the team will be looking for another coach within 3 seasons.

He wasn't young (50-something) and couldn't relate to the players but you could call him innovative.

What did he innovate exactly? How to let go of all of your talent? Run a hurry up offense? How to overpay for a FA to keep him away from a rival? I don't see teams lining up to sign him. Wonder why that is.

Cris Collinsworth would get really excited when they had that special Chip Kelly clock on the NBC broadcasts lol.

I said you could call him innovative, I never said it was in a positive way. :p I'm actually sorry to see him go; he could have been great (to have in Philly) for the Cowboys.
