That is true. He is very monotone and emotionless when he talks. As you described, very cold.

Ok, now for my bomb shell! My absolute favorite cover (and to be honest I'm not a huge cover song kind of guy) is this one. Now, don't get me wrong, I like the Offspring and I think the original is also fantastic, however, I think I like the cover better.
