He thinks he's going to teach me the draft.

So, in conclusion, you made a claim you have no way of knowing and the percentages and fractions were made up.
I have zero intention of teaching anything. I made a pretty simple claim, threw out some supporting numbers and when you pressed me on it I gave three references including one with a chart that lays out the data I shared.

Enjoy your life, enjoy hating everything about the Cowboys from the front office to the coaches to the QB. Hope it makes you happy.

You don’t know who Chido is? Hard to take your opinion serious on this matter. Gregory got 70 million frrom the Broncos…Cowboys got a good pick for him.
So he was a good pick because some moron paid him 70 million? LOL

How did that turn out for the Broncos?

Gregory was a bust. Barely played the first 5 years then finally had 6 sacks and signed elsewhere. Thats called a wasted pick.

Here is how to stop failing in the second round. Stop drafting players with issues whether it be injury, or character. Also. Stop drafting players because you’re trying to look like the smartest guys in the room. Looking at those lists there are 4 hits in 10 years in 2 rounds. That’s atrocious drafting.

He predicted the Cowboys would win 8 games or less last year. We blow away his prediction by going 12-5 and beating the GOAT in the playoffs.

And he has the nerve to run around here acting like the team disappointed him. LOL

Eh, most of them were/are starters and a couple others were/are relied upon rotationally. I’d be curious to see how it stacks up with the rest of the league but I can’t imagine that it’s any worse than average.

Starters: T-Will, Maliek Collins, J-Lew, Gallup, Connor McGovern, and Osa.

Rotational: Gallimore and Gholston

TBD: Tolbert

Leaves only Wilcox (who was a valuable
STer), Chaz Green, and Nahshon as guys who haven’t been starters or reliable rotational level players. Perhaps Gallimore slides in here as well but he’s played a lot more than these guys.

All in all that’s pretty good for the 3rd. Solid starters and rotational guys is kinda what you get here. Key word here is “starters” not “stars”. Haven’t had any huge performers in the 3rd recently but few duds as well.
The interesting thing to me is that the guys that is board was disappointed in when the selection was made have largely been misses and busts. So far Wright falls squarely into that category.

Bingo! Simply put, they try to get cute, thinking they're cheating the process by gambling on certain players. They passed on some solid players over the years that could have truly made a difference.

The biggest disappointment was that everybody else knew they were mistakes as soon as they made the picks.
Most of the time that this board cringes over a pick, it turn out to be a bad pick. Fred Beard being a notable exception.

Most of the time that this board thinks a player is a “steal” it turns out to be a pretty good pick. Jason Witten, DeMarco Murray, Cee Dee Lamb, etc.

Cowboys offered him 70 million with clauses in it. If it wasn't for those clauses we would've been the morons who signed him.

This board thinks everyone is a steal though aside from when its players we don't know. Nobody know who the hell Nashon Wright or Kelden Joseph was so the board automatically hated them. We get spoon fed what a "steal" is and we eat it up lol.

They would have been the Morons. No question. What did he do for the Cowboys? Thats what we are talking about here. They picked him in the 2nd round and what did they get out of that pick? Not much.

I hated both picks. I hated the entire 3rd round that year as well.

That moves us up from 26 to 20 at best. Will he be there at 20? I'm not totally against that, as that would be what the Cowboys would have to do to get him. But wouldn't it be better just to draft Gibbs at 26 and keep the 3rd rounder? Either way I'm good. Our 3rd rounders are usually bums anyway.
20 gets Dallas ahead of San Diego.

Mixed bag. I'd guess about NFL average for the 2nd round and maybe below average for the 3rd round
